Honey bunny
It was Honeys first holiday at Auntie Moos. We’d got to know her on a couple of recent play days but I couldn’t have believed how well this lovely girl adapted to being with us . I understand that she wasn’t used to being away from home , ( or in a car for that matter as mum Kim isn’t a driver) so for Honey, all our outings were very exciting and a totally new adventure and learning opportunity .. being in the car, the woods, along the shores of the lakes ,having the breeze in her ears at the top of The Cloud.
Her confidence grew with each outing and she clearly enjoyed the freedom of being on an extendable and whizzing around like a mad one . Surprisingly, she didn’t “take anyone out”, and only wrapped us round one or two trees, but she also did brilliantly on her lead walking, which we later found, could normally be a bit of a challenge.
Paul still has 2 arms the same length and hasn’t started dragging his knuckles along the ground , so we will take that as a great success! Previously we hadn’t taken Honey out of the garden as mum Kim had insinuated that we may end up with a dislocated shoulder… 😳.
In the mornings we were woken to Peter Rabbit ( her favourite toy ) being thrust at us by a very wiggly girl who was ready to play, and that same waggy tail acted as a welcome cooling fan on those hot summer days, wagging excitedly in a circular motion like a helicopter propellor, to the extent that if she wasn’t careful she may have taken off!
And after her walks Honey loved a snuggle on the sofa and I particularly loved stroking her tummy which was so silky and as soft as a pair of kid gloves . This little girl is just a softie, so affectionate and eager to dish out kisses to everyone that she meets.
So it was a sad day when this adorable doggie went home and took part of our hearts along with her.
You’re welcome back any time Honey x
