Just a little update for all my clients 🐾

As many of you know, I’m a pet-focused groomer first and foremost. Everything I do is about what’s best for the dog or cat in front of me.

Over recent months, I’ve had a few clients where circumstances have changed—distance, busy lives, and day-to-day commitments can make regular appointments harder to keep. When that’s happened and I haven’t had anything suitable to offer, I’ve helped find a trusted groomer closer to home so their pet’s routine doesn’t get out of hand.

If they decide to stay with that groomer and it makes life easier at home while keeping their pet happy and well cared for, then that’s exactly what matters—and I’m always happy to have helped in that process.

I know how hard it is to find someone you truly trust with your pet, especially with some of the recent things being shared on social media around poor or worrying handling. It’s something I take very seriously, and I always want owners to feel confident and comfortable with whoever they choose.

I’ve also, sadly, lost quite a few lovely clients recently who have crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈🐾 which is never easy. Some families are now returning with new puppies, which is always special to see.

As long as I have space, and they fall within the small to medium dogs I cater for, I’m always happy to welcome returning clients back.

With cats, I’m still a little cautious about taking on new ones due to my hand issues, but please do still ask and I’ll always do my best to advise or help where I can.

On the same note, prices will be changing gradually over time rather than all at once. Your individual grooming charge will always be available to view through your client portal. Any newer clients who have joined recently will already be on the revised pricing, so this will continue as it is.

I do still keep a waiting list for brand new clients, so I’m happy to take your details should a regular slot become available. You’re always welcome to message and make sure I have your details on file.

Just to note, client details are removed from my system after 12 months in line with data protection guidelines, so you may need to re-register if it’s been a while.

That’s me all wrapped up for the Easter break – my last day is today.

Thank you all so much for your continued support, well wishes and for the lovely flowers, cards, chocolate eggs and thoughtful gifts – that was so kind of you 💛

I’ll be back in the salon on Wednesday 8th, ready to see all your lovely dogs and cats again.

I’ve started stocking a small range of For All DogKind products that I’ve been using here in the salon 💗

They’re really gentle, salon-quality products (not your typical supermarket ones) and lovely for keeping your dog’s coat right between grooms.

✨ What I’ve got in at the moment:
• Detangle spray – helps prevent knots and matting between grooms
• Leave-in conditioner – keeps the coat soft, hydrated and easier to manage
• Battersea everyday shampoo – a gentle all-round shampoo for regular use
• Soothing / itchy dog shampoo – for sensitive, dry or itchy skin

They’re all nice and gentle, tearless, and suitable for sensitive skin.

💙 The Battersea range also gives £1 from every bottle to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, which is a lovely touch.

Hi everyone, just a quick IMPORTANT message about the front gate.Unfortunately the magnetic security lock has now broken...

Hi everyone, just a quick IMPORTANT message about the front gate.

Unfortunately the magnetic security lock has now broken. The wind has been blowing the gate and causing it to slam, which has been hitting the magnet and has sadly damaged the system. It is quite a costly security setup, but I do have a replacement on order.

In the meantime there is a bolt on the gate for security, so I will need to manually let you in when you arrive.

I have also noticed that the gate has sometimes been left open, so please, please can I ask that you close the gate properly behind you before coming into the main salon. This helps prevent the wind blowing it and causing it to slam.

I will also be placing a sign on the gate that says:

“PLEASE CLOSE THE GATE BEFORE ENTERING THE SALON
Wind can cause the gate to slam and damage the security system.
Thank you for helping keep the dogs safe.”

Security is very important while I’m working alone, and of course for the safety of the dogs in my care.

Hi everyone 🐾 Just a little reminder to please check your text appointment reminders, as they are usually sent around 2 days before your groom.

I know life gets busy and messages can sometimes be missed or ignored, but these reminders are important as I don’t always get the chance to message ahead individually due to a full grooming schedule. They give you notice of your appointment time and any small adjustments.

If the time no longer works for you, please let me know as soon as possible so I can manage the diary fairly for all clients.

Of course, if I ever need to change the day, I will always message you personally beforehand.
