🌳’BE A TREE’ is a brilliant tip to teach your kids in these situations, especially if they are naturally wary of dogs.

Standing still with hands folded, looking down and being quiet all make the child less interesting to the dog, which will therefore be more likely to ignore them and wander off again. Most dogs just want to say hello, but this can still be frightening for a child, and ‘being a tree’ may even prevent a bite from happening. 🐾
