The RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre is situated in the countryside with lovely sea views and surrounded by open fields and woodland, which provide a wonderful location for the rehabilitation and physical enjoyment of the animals. You will find us near Colwyn Bay in Conwy, North Wales, just off the B5113 Llanwrst Road, and a short drive from the A55 coastal road. What we do

We provide specialist

care for domestic and farm animals, and we often treat wildlife before release or transfer to dedicated wildlife centres. We spend a considerable amount of time with our animals getting to know them so that we can assess the kind of home and lifestyle they need. Then, when they are ready, we make every effort to find them a suitable home. Rehoming

At any one time we are caring for over 100 animals at the centre. Our animals are looking for someone to offer them a loving home, to be a friend and look after them. Funding

It costs the RSPCA over £1,300 a day to run Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre. We rely entirely on kind donations from people like you. If you would like to support us, or you have room in your home and in your heart to take on a rescue animal, please pay us a visit. This handsome chap is Raffety who arrived into our care due to concerns for his welfare. Since staying with us, Raffety has slowly grown in confidence every day and enjoys a fuss after getting to know you.

We feel that Raff would benefit from a quiet area to settle into and build his confidence in his new home 🏡

🐱💜 ADOPTION APPEAL 💜🐱

This affectionate lady is Winnie. She arrived into our care after her needs weren't being met. Poor Winnie arrived into our care with extreme fur loss, but after some TLC, is looking much better and is ready to start her journey to find her new home

Winnie loves nothing more than snuggling on laps and is searching for someones knee to warm. She loves having a natter with staff and is super affectionate and loving.

🐾🩷 SEARCHING FOR FOREVER HOME 🩷🐾

These curious cats are Matilda and Isobella who arrived into RSPCA care after being abandoned. Understandably, these sisters are quite nervous ladies and will be searching for a home together to build their confidence 🩷

These kittens are approximately 3 months old. Both girls are microchipped, spayed and have begun their vaccinations, all that is left now is the search for a forever home 🩷

🌟 Could one of our dogs stay with you for a while? 🌟

We have a few dogs 🐕🐩 who are hoping to find a loving foster home, whilst they wait for their forever family. Do you have space in your home 🏡 for a rescue dog?

As a fosterer you don't need to have a specific area dedicated for a foster dog or to have an animal free home. Our fosterers are incredible people 💖, many of whom have families 👪 or other animals at home. All we ask is that you have love to give a dog and someone at home who is happy to drive 🚗💕.

These 3 month old girlies are now searching for their forever homes 🩷 the girls could go as pairs or could join a household with an existing, neutered rabbit 🏡 that enjoys playful and energetic companionship 🩷

These girls have grown up in our care and would love a large, indoor space to binky about since living indoors is all they know. They could begin a gradual climitise to the outdoors next summer. We recommend a minimal sizing of 3 x 2 meters and provide this prey species with plenty of hides and access to hay 🩷

💙👨‍🍳 SEARCHING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOME 👨🏻‍🍳 💚

Can you believe that this lovable duo, Gordon and Ramsey still haven't found their forever home? 🏡

These cheeky chaps arrived into our care with many other piggies all rescued from poor conditions 💔 Since arriving in our care, these brothers have had the all clear medically and are ready to find their forever home together 💙

The boys would require a secure accommodation of 175cm x 75cm in a quieter area of the home 🏡 and would need to be rehomed together. They could live with secondary school aged children and with other pets as long as they are kept away due to the nervousness of being prey species 💚

These boys are growing in confidence everyday and are searching for that home to provide them with the care and love they deserve. Our centre cares for around 100 animals everyday❣. Some of whom are ready and waiting to find their forever homes whilst others are getting ready to search for their family 👪. Behind the scenes they may be:

🐾 involved in an ongoing prosecution case
🐾 receiving support from our behaviour team
🐾 too young for adoption

Every animal adopted or fostered makes way for another animal in need to enter our care.

🩷🐾 FIND A HOME 🐾🩷

This gorgeous girlie is Dollie 🍬 a 8 month old Cane Corso pup. This sweetie arrived into RSPCA care in July with her siblings after her owner could no longer care for them 🍬

Dollie had a full check over at our vets before entering our care and is a healthy growing pup 🍭 and is microchipped and vaccinated, due her annual booster next July🩷

Dollie Mix is a clever girl who learns new things really quickly. She knows how to sit and is learning how to walk nicely on her lead. Dollie is learning how to settle in our indoor spaces and enjoys a chew in a cosy bed 🐾

As Dollie hasn't had the most consistent upbringing, she is looking for a calm and patient home to show her the big world isn't so scary 🌎 She requires plenty of treats on her walks and gentle encouragement as she goes 🩷 and will likely find the introduction to normal household items to be strange.

Dollie is building trust with staff and does cuddle with staff she has built a close bond with. We expect that Dollie will find the initial meet with any adopter very exciting 🐾 but with some support from her handlers, Dollie is ready to meet her new forever home 🏡

As Dollie is a growing girl, she will need plenty of gentle encouragement and gradual introductions to the environment around her. She is quick to bounce into new things and will need plenty of positive reinforcement to learn how to be the best girlie 🍬 She can be nervous around greeting new dogs and would prefer to ignore others' on her travels 🐾 but enjoys her solo walks around our site and throwing her teddies around off lead in our secure spaces 🧸

This little cutie is Dolly!

Dolly is around 1 year old and hasn't had the best start to life. ❤️‍🩹
She arrived into our care with a litter of kittens, and while she was a wonderful mother, she is now more than ready to put that life behind her and experience being a carefree young cat 🥰

Dolly has a wonderful nature and loves to be around people. She is a purr machine when she's having a fuss and adores sitting on laps to soak up as much love as possible. ❤
