The RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre is situated in the countryside with lovely sea views and surrounded by open fields and woodland, which provide a wonderful location for the rehabilitation and physical enjoyment of the animals. You will find us near Colwyn Bay in Conwy, North Wales, just off the B5113 Llanwrst Road, and a short drive from the A55 coastal road. What we do

We provide specialist

care for domestic and farm animals, and we often treat wildlife before release or transfer to dedicated wildlife centres. We spend a considerable amount of time with our animals getting to know them so that we can assess the kind of home and lifestyle they need. Then, when they are ready, we make every effort to find them a suitable home. Rehoming

At any one time we are caring for over 100 animals at the centre. Our animals are looking for someone to offer them a loving home, to be a friend and look after them. Funding

It costs the RSPCA over £1,300 a day to run Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre. We rely entirely on kind donations from people like you. If you would like to support us, or you have room in your home and in your heart to take on a rescue animal, please pay us a visit. If you would like to contribute in other ways, we also operate a volunteer programme and foster scheme. We look forward to seeing you. Regards

Milo was brought into the RSPCA due to concerns for his welfare 💔 after spending some time at the vets, Milo got the all clear and was ready to start his rehoming journey with us at the centre ❤️‍🩹

This 6 month old Rex loves greens and veggies 🥦he can be nervous around new people but is all a-flop when his known staff members and volunteers come for a fuss 💚

Milo is around 6 months old and is looking for a confident, spayed female companion to hop about with in the future 🐰 the duo would require accommodation of 3 x 2 meters 💚 and plenty of tings to do.

Milo could live in a home with other animals as long as he had a safe and secure space 🐱🐶 he could live with children of 11+

Mumsy arrived into our care after there were concerns for her welfare, alongside many other cats also living at the property.

Mumsy's perfect home looks like:

🐾 Indoors and outdoors access
🐾 Adult-only home
🐾 Potentially live alongside another feline resident
🐾 Preferably no dogs

We think it is likely that Mumsy has relied on other feline companions for confidence and hasn’t had much interaction with humans. For this reason, she can be quite worried and is looking for a patient, experienced owner who can help her develop her confidence at her own pace. Additionally, Mumsy arrived into our care overweight and will need a structured plan to reach a healthy weight once settled. 🥰

Meet Taylor! 🌼

Taylor is an affectionate 3 year old cat, who came into our care after being rescued from living in poor conditions, alongside multiple other cats.

Taylor's perfect home looks like:

🐾 Potentially another resident cat
🐾 Any children to be calm and confident around cats
🐾 No resident dogs

Taylor is a really sweet girl who loves to be around her people. With her loving nature, we are so surprised that she hasn't found her loving home already. She can be a very chatty lady here at the centre so her perfect person will need to be happy to have lots of chirpy conversations. 🥰

This 5 year old bunny is Texas. Despite his name, Texas hasn't travelled far to our centre and was brought in by our inspectorate due to concerns for his welfare 💔

Understandably, this boy found the transition to or rabbit room difficult and is looking for a home where he can feel safe and cared for ❤️‍🩹Texas can find fast movements scary and needs a home that gradually builds his trust 🐰

Texas is a clever boy and enjoys sniffing our treats in puzzles and games and enjoys his time flopped on one side in his accommodation 🏡 He could live indoors or outdoors and would be best suited to a relaxed, spayed female rabbit 🐰 he would require an size of 3 x 2 meters of space for himself and his future companion to allow him to hop and binky about💙

This lovely lad is Kenny 🐰 who arrived into RSPCA care after being abandoned in a garden 💔 Poor Kenny travelled to another RSPCA centre, RSPCA Gonsal Farm Animal Centre but sadly, didn't receive much interest. Luckily for us, Kenny has now joined us at BYM 💙

Kenny is a gentle boy and will need a home that can continue to build his confidence 🥰 He loves fresh greens and enjoys some head rubs from staff who frequently spend time with him 💙 Kenny loves flopping in his box and is a litter trained lad 🐰

Kenny is neutered and would be best suited living with a spayed female rabbit who is confident 🐾 either indoors or outdoor 🏡 Kenny would need a home at a minimum size of 2 x 3 meters and a gradual introduction to a female which staff can discuss with potential adopters. Kenny could live with children at 11+ years and could live with other animals in the home as long as he has suitable, secure accommodation 🐱🐶

This little lady is Janey! ❤

Janey is approximately 8 months old and arrived into our care after there were concerns for her welfare.

Janey is a very affectionate and playful girl who still acts like a typical kitten with bundles of energy!

Janey's perfect home looks like:
🐾 Indoors and outdoors access
🐾 Potentially another resident cat
🐾 Children to be confident with cats and over 11 years old.
🐾 Preferably no dogs

Janey adores being around her favourite people. She will very contently curl up on your lap but then equally enjoys running around going wild for a toy. Janey would love a family who provide her with lots of play sessions and enrichment, while also giving her the company and affection she loves every day. ❤

As a kitten with bundles of energy, Janey can sometimes struggle to handle her arousing emotions and will softly nip when this happens, so for this reason, any children in the home need to be secondary school age and confident with cats.

🐷🐾 Adoption Appeal 🐾🐷

This gorgeous duo is Ginny and Georgia 🐾 who arrived into our care after living in very poor conditions 💔 our inspectorate team rescued these 11 month old piggies who started their rehabilitation journey with us❤️‍🩹

Despite their difficult start, these sisters are growing in confidence each day, Georgia being the most confident of the pair who loves to greet staff for some greens and spends most of her time exploring her accommodation giving Ginny the encouragement to follow suit when she is ready 🩷
These girlies would need a minimum sized accommodation of 5 x 2 meters with access to plenty of hides and tunnels 🐾

The girls could live with children at 11+ and could live in a home with other animals as long as they had a safe, secure space away from other pets 🐱🐶
