Congratulations, Marvellous Millie! Millie completed her 5 week Puppy Skills 121 training with us this evening, showing off her pawsome disengagement skills - we roped in slightly harder to ignore distractions for her last session in shape of Boundless Rocket and Loki to really test her skills! Millie has made fantastic progress, managing to ignore both boys in favour of recall and loose lead waking, focusing on her guardian instead 🥳🎉

This is Daisy, in her safe space - with her rabbits 🐇We met Daisy last year, when she was struggling with anxiety in her own home due to the behaviour of a neighbouring dog. With our training and management plan, Daisy’s guardians have helped guide her and give her the confidence to make good choices when she’s worried, without feeling the need to become defensive and try to repel the perceived threat. Instead, if she feels worried, she now chooses to seek out and spend some time with her humans and rabbits - making good choices all by herself ❤️ life goals for every dog! (The mesh is part of the rabbits safe space, not anything to restrict Daisy’s movement).

Oh. My. Word! What a difference 4 weeks can make! We met Bella at the start of February, an older girl with an unknown history who had recently been rehomed from a charity by her current guardian. Unfortunately, Bella and her new guardian were finding walks very stressful and unpleasant. After our initial consultation uncovered some potential health concerns, in addition to the behavioural concerns, Bella and her guardian were set up with a training and management plan and referred back to their vet for some additional support and investigations. Fast forward 1 month and with the help of our training plan, the vet and rehab team at Bella had the most uneventful and relaxed walk along the prom in this mornings gorgeous spring sunshine, passing other dogs and strangers without incident! What a fantastic team 🫶

Well, with a few participants on holiday and the weather being thoroughly minging, todays FUNdamentals classes took the opportunity to stay indoors and sharpen up our steadiness game - with some gateway manners and balance/proprioception equipment challenges. Great job, team 💪

Congrats to the latest Puppy Foundations graduates! Sadly, Gorgeous George couldn’t attend graduation, but these guys made short work of it! Graduation photos are probably the most challenging of all puppy class activities! Kudos to the guardians of the working cockers and Apple for helping us catch a decent picture of busy little black dogs! IYKYK 🤣
