Busy few weeks here at Fluff and Tails! 🐾

I've been kept busy with lots of lovely dogs and cats, as well as meeting some wonderful new clients and their pets. It's always a privilege to be trusted with their care. ❤️

With the recent warm weather, many of my usual dog walks have been swapped for drop-in visits, garden toilet breaks, fresh water top-ups and, of course, plenty of fuss and attention. Safety always comes first, and it's fair to say my doggy clients were more than happy to relax indoors or enjoy a few quiet minutes in the garden rather than head out in the heat! ☀️🐶

There have been lots of cat visits too. Cats need extra care during hot weather as well, although they are usually experts at finding the coolest spot in the house and disappearing there until temperatures drop! 🐱❄️

One of the most important parts of being a pet sitter and dog walker is being adaptable. Every pet is different, and during periods of hot weather it's important to think ahead, adjust routines and tailor visits to keep pets comfortable, safe and happy.

Aweekend (and beyond!) of being ruled by cats 😹🐾

I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last week or so with one lovely pair of cats, and now starting two weeks of visits with another gorgeous duo while their owners are away.

Lots of feeding, fuss, playtime and being silently judged for not opening treats fast enough! 🐱💕

One thing’s for sure — every cat has their own personality, routine and very strong opinions about how things should be done!

Sunday might be a day of rest for some… but the pet sitting crew is still on duty 🐾
Today’s visits included some very cute cats for fuss, feeds and company, plus two dogs with VERY different opinions on what makes the perfect walk 🤣

One: “LET’S GO! Adventure! Speed! Sniffs! Excitement!”

The other: “I would personally like to stop and inspect this leaf for 10 minutes.”
That’s the joy of one-to-one walks and visits — every pet gets the care, pace and attention that suits them best ❤️

Three dogs, three very different agendas today… 😄

☀️ Dog 1 & 2: “We must RUN. Immediately. Everywhere.”

☀️ Dog 3: “I would like to sniff this exact blade of grass for 7–10 business minutes.”

Two long, energy-burning walks and one gentle, sniff-filled stroll in the sunshine — because every dog gets the walk that suits them best 🐾

One of the best parts of my job 🐾

I’ve been visiting and then when he was ready walking this young German Shepherd since he was around 10 weeks old, and it’s been so lovely watching him grow into such a handsome boy.

From tiny puppy energy to confident youngster — it’s been amazing to be part of his journey.

His owner has put in lots of great training, and I’ve reinforced this during my visits so he gets consistency. It really makes a difference and makes him an absolute pleasure to walk! 🐕✨

Looking forward to many more adventures with this handsome lad.
