🛶 THE INFAMOUS RUSHBANKS PADDLE TO THE PUB! 🍻🌿

One of the best things about staying at Rushbanks? You can paddle downstream to The Anchor, Nayland for lunch or dinner! 🍽️ - It’s a beautiful paddle of around 1¼ hours, winding through the gorgeous Dedham Vale and Constable Country. 🌿

🛶 Bring your own canoe or paddleboard — or hire one from us!
You absolutely don’t need to hire your equipment from Rushbanks. If you have your own canoe or paddleboard, bring it along and enjoy exploring the River Stour at your own pace, but If you’re hiring one of our canoes, our 10am daily safety briefing is where you’ll get your map and all the information you need before heading off. The boys in the Canoe Zone will point you in the right direction! 😉

🍻 And remember to book The Anchor first! It’s a popular spot, so make sure you’ve got your table reserved before you set off.

What a lovely morning at Rushbanks 💚🌿

We were delighted to welcome the team from Alderwood Care Home for a special visit to Rushbanks, enjoying a peaceful morning beside the River Stour and making the most of the beautiful countryside around us.

It was especially lovely for Frances to spend time with her family in such a special place. Frances is the mother of James and Gareth, who own and run Rushbanks, so it was wonderful to welcome her and the Alderwood team to this very special place that is such a big part of her family. 💚

Rushbanks is our little off-grid, riverside escape in Constable Country, and although we don't generally offer day visits, we were very happy to make an exception for this special occasion.

Thank you to the Alderwood team for sharing your lovely visit with us. It was a pleasure to welcome you to Rushbanks! 🌿✨

🌿 COME FOR A WALK AROUND RUSHBANKS FARM 🌿

When people think of Rushbanks, they often think of our famous riverside pitches – and for very good reason. 🏕️🌊

But there’s so much more to discover.

In this reel, we’re taking you on a little walk from our canoe and paddleboard launch area, where our daily 10am safety briefings take place, along the riverbank and past our beautiful Riverside pitches before heading up towards Sunset Strip. 🚣‍♀️

Along the way, you’ll see those front-row views of the River Stour, peaceful pitches, riverside jetties and plenty of space to slow down and enjoy the beautiful Dedham Vale countryside. 🌳

And this is just one small part of Rushbanks.

From our riverside bell tents and the campsite hub at Sunset Corner, to Woodland Edge and Greenacres, there are plenty of spaces to find your own kind of downtime. Whether that means paddling downstream to the pub, fishing from the riverbank, relaxing around a campfire or simply watching the River Stour drift by. 🔥🎣

The summer holidays are here, and there’s still plenty of time to escape to the river. ☀️
