🐾💖 Love Your Pet Day 💖🐾

Today is officially Love Your Pet Day and honestly… our lot are very on board with this concept. Extremely on board. Snacks may already have been requested.

Whether your pet is spoiled rotten, slightly feral, snores like a chainsaw or pretends not to like you while following you from room to room, today is for them. The loyal ones. The chaotic ones. The ones who make your house feel like home 🐶🐱

From all of us at the rescue, please give your pets an extra cuddle, an extra treat and maybe even an extra walk. We will not judge. We encourage it.

And if you do not currently have a pet, our animals are more than happy to volunteer for the role of being loved. Just saying 😉

Do not use unlicensed boarders. Hatton boarding kennels in Shifnal is a prime example of boarding gone wrong.

🐾 “Why didn’t you stop it rather than just stand there filming it?”

I have seen this a lot on recent threads of animal abuse, and people have questioned why others didn't step in to remove the animal from an abuser. This is why.

Because filming is helping.

Evidence comes first. Rescue comes later.

⚠️ Confronting an abuser puts you—and the animal—at risk.

Strong, undeniable proof is the only way to protect them and make sure the abuser can’t weasel out.

We all want to grab that dog and take it home with us. God knows what goes on behind closed doors if people act this way in public. But verbally attacking someone recording these things is counter productive.

💡 What would you do if you saw animal abuse? Collect evidence or step in?
