Thank-you to everyone who has recommended us to family and friends in the past year, we’ve loved making lots of new furry friends 🐾 😁
We are actually now at capacity, so to allow our current customers to be able to book on, and take our own family weekends, we have closed our books to new enquiries.
Apologies to anyone this might disappoint, we will let you know on here if/when we reopen.

Happy New Year to all our 2nd Home pals!

2024 was a good year with lots of lovely walks, fun and many new furry friends made. A few sad goodbyes but happy memories in our hearts 🌈 😢
Here’s hoping that 2025 brings you all health and happiness (to your humans too!)

It’s a very sad day at 2nd Home. The lovely Ebony has passed over the rainbow 🌈 bridge.
We try not to have favourite but I’m not sorry to say Ebony was definitely one of them 😊
A frequent visitor to our house, with her mum often adventuring on the fells or away with work, and at 16 Ebs preferred to stay home.
We might have only met her in her elderly days but she still loved to play, launched licking attacks on Arlo at every chance and still thought that perhaps she might be able to catch up with the sheep!

We love having you all come visit when your humans have to go away and we know you aren’t sad for too long 😆

Our 2024 diary is now open for the full year if like me you are using January to get organised!

A reminder of our rates
£15 up to 8 hours day care including a good lunchtime walk and any pop outs needed

Or, £20 for longer than that up to a 24hr

Here at 2nd Home your dog becomes one of the family, gets showered with hugs and cuddles and gets taken on many family adventures including river, forest and fell walks. No stay is quite the same here as it very much depends on what our furry pals want and need. Suffice to say there is always a bed to share and toys and balls to be played with 😍
