FMC Dog Grooming I'm a dog groomer in Carnbroe/Coatbridge ML5

It's not a salon setup, I work alone from home (shed outside), so I work with 1 dog at a time.

It's an appointment only system, I can't accept walk-ins and a deposit is required to secure booking.

DID YOU KNOW....

'Canine Acne' is very common in dogs.

Its thought to be caused by folliculitis from hair trauma leading to clogged follicles and possible bacteria/fungal infections.

Labradors, Staffies, Frenchies, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Pugs, Pointers, Boxers, Bulldogs are all commonly affected but any dog can get it.

You should seek vet advice but in most cases no treatment is necessary unless there is an infection.

DROPPING OFF

If you are early I will try my best to come get your dog, but please don't be alarmed if im not at the gate straight away or it appears im not about....it doesnt mean ive forgotten about you.

I might be with another dog, inside the house getting some lunch or perhaps even away from the house. Its one of the pros of working the way I do, I can nip to the shops or walk the dog when I have a gap in my day.

Please just drop me a txt to let me know your there, feel free to wait in car.

Thank you,
Fiona 🐾

YOUR DOGS NAILS

I will always check dogs nails as part of every groom, however they will not always need trimmed.

If your dogs nails are scratching you when they jump up or play, this doesn't mean they need cut - they will scratch regardless of length.

If you can hear your dogs nails on the ground/floor, this doesn't mean they need cut - they would have to be extremely short for you not to hear them and your dog needs the nails for grip.

You cannot judge by lifting your dogs paw, it should only be judged when dog is standing on all 4 paws.

You only want the nail being up off the ground ever so slightly, enough to place down your bank card flat and slide under.

Some nails even when touching the ground cannot be trimmed by a groomer as the quick will also grow down the nail if left too long. A vet will cut as they will treat the nail afterwards.
