This week's heat has certainly been a challenge for our four-legged friends. πΎβοΈ
A huge thank you to all of my wonderful clients for being so understanding and doing your best to rearrange lessons. The early mornings may mean a few extra alarms, but they allow us to continue enjoying quality time with our dogs while keeping them safe and comfortable.
Dogs still need enrichment, even when it's too hot for lots of physical exercise, and brain work can be just as tiring as a long walk. It's lovely to see them enjoying training, using their minds, and then being able to settle and relax much more easily for the rest of the day.
I'm sharing a photo below that was kindly sent to me by an owner after yesterday's lesson. After using his brain and working hard, he spent the rest of the day completely chilled out β a lovely reminder that mental enrichment can be just what our dogs need, especially during hot weather. π₯°πΆ
Thank you all for working with me to make sure our dogs stay happy, healthy and having fun, whatever the weather. β€οΈ
