Jack had a very special guest join him this time, with his friend Dolly (miniature black poodle cross) coming along for the pet sit. 🥰

Jack, however, had his eye on something else… Dolly’s bed! 😂

Despite being slightly too big for it, he was determined to squeeze himself in and make himself comfortable! 🤣

At one point, Jack also helped himself to a sneaky pear from the tree in the garden 🍐!

Meeting Dolly and seeing her personality was lovely too - telling the dogs/cats off on TV, shimmying under my foot for back scratchies, being very excited for mealtimes and giving me “the look” to come up on the sofa for cuddles 🥰

We had a couple of thunderstorms ⛈️, as Dolly is quite deaf, she slept through them comfortably and undisturbed.

Jack however, was very anxious bless him. So we popped on some relaxing music, and I had a blanket over him to keep him relaxed, sheltering him from the flashes and drowning out the noise, and thankfully he managed to calm and eventually settle.

We did manage to get some lovely weather in between though, and after a thundery night, we were out in the morning on a nice sunny walk like nothing had happened! ☀️

Oh my goodness!

It has been such a busy week to come back to after holibobs but it’s been so great seeing everyone again! I know I wasn’t gone too long but I miss them even after a short while!

It’s been so much nicer with the weather cooling off a bit, and I never thought I’d be so happy seeing rain 🌧️ 🤣

The dogs and cats have all been amazing too, honestly so much fun!

Had a lovely stay in Hipswell!

Myself and Milo enjoyed exploring the area with plenty of walks - not much of a break as was still getting my steps in 😂, but was worth it for the wonderful views and wildlife. ☀️

We had a visit to Raby castle 🏰 and had a very big walk around the gardens and deer park too 🦌! Milo had his buggy at the ready so he could have a break when needed, he did so well bless him ❤️

That’s a wrap! 🐾

The summer months have been tough! I’ve never known so many heatwaves in a row 🔥 and it’s been soooo busy, which I’m incredibly thankful for! 💙

It’s definitely been one of those summers where I’ve had to constantly adapt. With the heat making it unsafe for the dogs, there have been lots of bookings to rearrange, walks to shorten or change, and plans to adjust at short notice to make sure everyone stays happy, comfortable and safe.

Add to that a very busy run of dog walks, pop-ins and pet sits, and I think it’s safe to say I’m absolutely exhausted! 😂 My legs have certainly felt the miles this summer! 🏃🏻‍♀️

But as tired as I am, it’s been a pretty good kind of tired! 😂 I’ve had my days filled with dogs, cuddles, waggy tails and plenty of four-legged company — so I really can’t complain! 🐾💙

But now… Explore4Paws is officially CLOSED for the week! 🙌

I’ll be putting my feet up, recharging the batteries and attempting to remember what it feels like to have nowhere to be (as I’m usually so regimental!). 😂

Thank you to everyone who has kept me so busy over the summer — I genuinely appreciate every booking and all the support. 🥰
