Looks like I've picked a great week to have off in regards to the heat 🥵

Please understand, if your Dog Walker cancels walks, but offers an alternative it is because they care.

Dogs really struggle in hot weather 😩

They can miss one walk, that one walk could be fatal (even when they were always OK before, maybe you thought they were ok 🤔)

I'm seeing my friends lose income, and you know what, it matters as they still have bills to pay, but they do it as your dogs welfare is priority!

With the predicted high temperatures over the next few days.

Please be extra vigilant.

As it happens I finish tomorrow for my holidays and my group will be done in the morning to beat the peak of the day.

If your dog walker cancels walks over the summer period any time, please know they are only putting your pups safety first. ❤️ 🐾 🐾

With the predicted high temperatures in the coming days, please remember it's doesn't take a lot for your dogs to overheat!

☀️HEATSTROKE KILLS DOGS☀️

Every single year, Vets treat hundreds of heat stroke cases and, heartbreakingly, some end in tragedy 💔

Many are unfortunately a result of dogs getting exercised between 8am and 8pm when temperatures can be at their peak 🚫

With the temperatures heating up, it’s critical to know when it’s too hot for your dogs. Heat-related illnesses are almost always preventable.

MISSING WALKS DUE TO THE HEAT WONT HARM YOUR DOGS!

DONT TAKE THE RISK and make sure your pet isn’t overheating!

If you think your dog may be suffering from heat stroke, contact your vet immediately or, if out-of-hours, find your nearest emergency vet.

When you walk dogs every day, you start to know them in ways that don’t need words.

You don’t even have to turn around—you can tell who’s coming up behind you just from the jingle of their collar.
Each one has its own rhythm, its own little signature.

You learn their breathing too.
The quick, eager pant of the one who’s always excited, the slower, heavier breath of the one taking their time.

You know which ones been vocal, without even turning around, the different pitches of their barks, the ones that are loud and the others that just have little yaps or howl instead.

Even their footsteps tell a story—the light, quick taps of paws full of energy, or the steady, unhurried pace of an old soul bringing up the rear.

It’s a kind of quiet understanding, built over time. You notice the small things: the tiny habits that make them who they are.

That’s the thing about dog walking—it’s not just about exercise.

It’s about connection.

Before long, you don’t just walk them… you know them 🐾 🐾 and those paws imprint on your heart ❤️ forever

Second visit to this place, this time we are heading the other way to Marsden Mutts, another secure field based in beautiful scenery, featuring a watering hole.
