🐴PART LOAN WANTED 🐴 for a friend.
looking for a part loan within clacton - tendring -colchester.
•must be suitable for a novice! looking to further knowledge and spend some time around a quiet horse.
not breed fussy but preferably between 14-16hh.
would love the ability to hack and school, with a possibility of light jumping every now and then. a confidence giver would be A⭐️!! willing to do chores and financial contributions! please do message if you have a pony in mind.. i can pass on details.

on Sunday we put darcy back in a bit...we are testing out the "gel bit" to see if she would find this more comfortable and easier than her metal one. she took to this a little better than I expected to be completely honest. started off just getting used to bending, eventually we pushed on and darcy went lovely. she actually moved her best in quite a while. by no means are we grand prix ready and it's not the cure to our issue, but it's a step closer to doing the things we've wanted to!

Lesson Sept 17th 2023
Good lesson today, started with some no stirrup work for me, over some poles.
• We lengthened my stirrups to use what I learnt doing no stirrups.
•This made me more balanced and able to move with darcy.
•We tried the canter again today, which was great! Darcy was a good girl coming back and listening to me, only small steps for now.

Such a great afternoon with girl, WE FINALLY CANTERED AGAIN!!!!! a super good lesson unfortunatelyno video of us today. , it felt amazing to be trusting darcy, feeling comfortable and safe again after so long of just being nervous since the fall.
To top it off we took a wonder down the driveway, it was lovely and peaceful. Followed by a few trots also. I love my horse and I'm so proud of us, like SO proud 🥰🤗

Our lesson 24/08/23
We worked on: leg yielding in trot.
•using more of the school to gain confidence
•opening up darcys trot slightly more
•towards the end we tried some canter transitions but we didn't quite get a canter... which is OK!! The main objective of this was for me to know that I can bring darcy back to trot from canter. Due to previous accidents I lost my confidence cantering her. Very happy we gave it a go! ❤️

Yesterday's lesson! ( we are still bitless )
Darcy worked so so hard, we were focused on using our corners properly and tighter turns, while getting a ground covering troy and a self carriage from darcy. with the use of poles to help guiding us.
What a good mare, she definitely enjoyed that. ❤️

Another lesson for us this morning! Bitless again.
Probably our most challenging so far, we started doing some lateral work with darcy : turning on the forehand & spiral circles.
We did a small course of poles which Darcy found very exciting and flicked her toes all the way through!
We managed the turns well and I am still learning the whole bitless business!

Some light showing practice for 1 year old Sweet Like Candy. She is entered in for her first novice class in September. I think she is quite a good mover! Showing some potential I'd say! 😊

Another lesson for us today, our best one yet! AND bitless!
● darcy felt so much happier, comfortable and more relaxed in her bitless bridle.
● instead of a fight with darcy, today we had trust in each other which felt great and confidence boosting.
● we worked on a little bit of rein backing to get darcy using and stretching her hind end.
● we got darcy stretching her head and neck nice and long and offering self carriage.
● used poles to help flow the trot and darcys carriage.
We are going to continue bitless in the school for the time being, definitely worth having a happy comfortable horse! 💚🏆🥰

Hi! Today we had another lesson with Helen Coe EE Classical Dressage Coach . This time around It was more of a challenge to get darcy moving on and forwards.
●Now that i am able to get darcy a little bit more softer we are adding in covering more ground and using her hind end.
●We worked through all of darcys tricks to get me of her case and asking her questions : not moving on, curling in, head tossing.
● Eventually she worked nice, in a better carriage and a forward going trot.
● In our next lesson darcy will be back bitless! Excited to see how that goes!
