With the winter ahead we would really like to start scheduling some clinics in our indoor arena.
Looking to collaborate with some trainers in Natural Horsemanship, Liberty, Trek who would like to put on some clinics and training sessions at weekends for our liveries and also local horse owners. Proactive motivated self employed trainers looking to grow client base. We already have in-house coach for Pole clinics.

Today I was lucky enough to have Emily Johnson Fine Art come to the yard to meet Jakey & Joey and take some photos so she can start the portrait of them. What a lovely lady Emily is, she spent so much time getting to know the horses characters and being around them, she made the whole process very personal and special and I cannot wait to see the finished painting but I will be following each step as she shares the progress, very exciting.
Thank you Emily and thank you to my husband for buying me this gift.

WOW what a day !! Jo Sayer JS Coaching & Equine Services was fully booked for this very exciting Pole Clinic yesterday. All ages and all different ranges of experience but Jo being the complete professional helped everyone achieve some goals and finished with all of us wanting dates of next clinic. Phoebe PB Osteopathy noticed Merlin holds a lot of tension in his jaw which can contribute to similar to us having headaches, she showed techniques to relax his jaw which made a huge difference. What a wonderful morning giving back to our horses ❤️

My aim this week was to achieve relaxation for Jakey, I believe this step in our horsemanship training will contribute to a calmer confident and more responsive partnership. Thanks to Phoebe PB Osteopathy for helping me to understand his body language and show me techniques that promote both physical and mental relaxation.

Happy 1 year anniversary to us 🍸🍷🍹
It’s been a year since we arrived at Overley, an amazing year it has been, we are so in love with this place it’s definitely home from home.
We are a sociable lot enjoying a few drinks at the Overley Bar, BBQs, friendly group hacks and waiting for a cooler weekend for a game of rounders 😆
I could not have been luckier with the liveries we have here and their horses we are like a big family, everyone mucks in helps each other out and treats the yard with love and respect, I’m so thankful for that.
We have our awesome coach Jo Sayer who encouraged us and supported us starting this venture and now helps to run the yard ❤️
Also Pete our maintenance support who turns his hand to most things for us and is very much part of the Overley family.
To all the local support, Cath at park corner who helps us out, local farmers for hay, Tim Tickle for helping keeping our paddocks harrowed etc thank you.
So big thanks to all of them for making our first year so special and for the very delicious cake made by one of our liveries for our year anniversary.

I have been so lucky over the last year to have some really inspiring trainers come to Overley and help us and some of our horses
As my background is Holistic Health I’ve always been drawn to Natural Horsemanship, I believe in looking at the horse as a whole, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, I want to understand them and resoond to them.
I am loving that at long last after many hundreds of years of horses working for us, in the pits, at war, on the farms etc we are now giving back, we are asking and not forcing, we are listening to them, waiting for their replies because they are all there if we just give them the time, let them BE not just do, it’s an absolute dream to experience. We are seeing you can still achieve your goals of show jumping, dressage, eventing and all to a high level but the getting there can be in such a kind gentle way and a deep connection can be made, how could there ever be a better way ?
Steve Young horsemanship, Robert Pring, and today Pheobe Bolton Osteopathy have all brought such a wealth of knowledge, care and real understanding of the horse to Overley which just adds to the very special energy this yard has.
Thank you to them all and everyone who works in this way keep doing what you are doing and spreading it around. Our horses deserve respect, love and understanding.

Lissi Bucher

Competed up to Intermediare 2 and international YR level. Worked extensively with young horses, teenagers’ eventing ponies, dressage horses, all rounders and retrained racehorses.

Worked as a working pupil for Carl Hester 1999-2001. Lived in HK for 5yrs working with ex-racehorses and coaching riders and coaches over there.

Coaching experience with all sizes and types of horse and pony from Shetland ponies to 18.2 dressage horses. Whether you want to tidy up a test for the eventing season, ride your first PSG or gain confidence to canter a circle, I can help.
