Greenhill Equitation is a well established and exciting equestrian center in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Only 90 minutes from London, yet set in breathtaking countryside in the heart of the Cotswolds, our clients have immediate access to some of the best riding country in the United Kingdom, at the same time being taught the serious fundamental principals of sound practice and good horsemanship.

Proprietor Nathalie Rozard APC leads a fully qualified and highly skilled team, all of whom are safeguarding and first aid certified and advanced DBS checked. The staff also compete in horse trials, hunter trials, combined training, showjumping and dressage.

We are excited to announce our 2026 Summer holiday programme.
This year we are doing things a little differently to help parents and carers plan their work patterns whilst giving the children a fun, safe and energetic activity.
As follows:
Thursdays in July 23rd and 30th. August 13th, 20th, and 27th from 8.30am to lunchtime at 1pm we are holding pony mornings.
These will be a full morning of riding, grooming, and all that goes into caring for ponies and horses. Yes that does include cleaning up after them, cleaning tack and getting involved.
Open to all ages 5+ and put into appropriate groups with a qualified, friendly and fun BHS qualified coach for each group. Bring a packed lunch and your children can stay until 1.30pm and go home happy, relaxed and ready for a nap!
OR
Why not leave them at the yard and book them in to a hack in the afternoon.
We are hacking at 2.15pm in age and ability groups on the 23rd and 30th July, August 13th, 20th and 27th for an hour.
Why not consider a course of hacks over the Summer to get your child used to the freedom and enjoyment that horses bring to their lives. What a treat to be able to build invaluable skills and create life long memories.
Pony mornings are £75
Hacking is £65

Fridays 24th and 31st July and 14th, 21st, 28th of August is JUMP CLUB.
We have two time slots available:
12 noon for the little ones. 5 ponies available.
2.15 for the older under 18’s with 6 horses available.
All sessions 1 hour and all £50 each.

All regular after school lessons will be brought back 1 hour and we would like your bookings at the beginning of July for the month so we can plan.
Summer camp at 3rd-5th August is almost full. If you are still interested please get in touch for details as soon as possible.
Finally, we are able to book in any family or additional groups, hacks and lessons to order on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday, we just need you to get in touch at least a week in advance so we can plan the horses workload and make sure we have space for you. The more time we have the better your chance of finding a slot.

Significant road closure starting tomorrow affecting your route from Cirencester and Stratton direction into the village.
Please come into the village down Dowers lane from the A419 roundabouts at Quarry junction, past Itlay. The route from Sapperton and the centre of the village is not affected.
Please leave extra time to get to us. Lessons will run at the normal times.

A fun evening of combined training yesterday brought a nice win for Nolan. 28.5 dressage and a clear in the 100.
Mollie, one of our new members of staff, had her debut outing on the lovely Flo to compete in the Novice dressage and rode a beautifully accurate test to gain just under 67%. Well done Mollie, Flo had fun.
What a treat to have such nice horses.

We pride ourselves on having a diverse and experienced set of schoolmasters for our clients to enjoy. From detailed and precise work in the school, to cantering through Cirencester Park. We have a horse or pony for every occasion.
Today we welcomed Dory back into the “schoolies” gang. He is such a fabulous schoolmaster and we are very lucky to have him. Watch this space for more new arrivals in the coming weeks.

Don’t be like Nolan and his friends sleeping in the sun. Book your June lessons soon so we can plan our activities and lessons for you.
As the weather is a bit cooler we can turn some of the lessons into a gentle informative and fun hack to learn some more skills.

Weekday morning slots available and hacking on a Tuesday and Friday with a small group is always fun to mix it up a bit.

What a day to remember! 22 excited children spent the day bonding with the best Greenhill ponies. From gentle rides to grooming and bathing sessions, every moment was filled with laughter and joy. The ponies were absolute stars, behaving impeccably and making each child’s dream come true.
Smiles, giggles, and unforgettable memories—today was pure happiness on hooves! 🐎❤️

What an amazing adventure thanks to and
I spent a week searching for The Big Five in the in South Africa and wow did it deliver.
We saw them all from our trusty steeds who were impeccably behaved, and with our guides Ant and Amanda we knew we were in safe hands!!
Back at the lodge the hospitality was outstanding. No stone was left unturned, and with Penny at the helm, two chefs preparing three scrumptious meals a day and a team of housekeepers to take care of our rooms and washing, I was firmly in the lap of luxury.
After several hours of riding a day I had the most incredible massages from Porscha now she is definitely one to visit daily for indulgent treatments. Absolutely fabulous.
This was a first and hopefully not the last visit to the River lodge and I would 100% recommend them to any experienced rider looking for a real safari thrill. It isn’t one for the faint hearted so if Lions from horseback isn’t your thing then check out the other lodges Ant and the crew have.
Thanks also go to Kirsty and Andrew for being my riding buddies for the week. The incredible knowledge that Zane possesses, he knows everything about everything. Amanda, Geoff and Hayley for keeping our horses in tip top shape and especially Amanda and Fred for helping keep us safe and staying incredibly calm.
Finally and most importantly huge thanks to Ant for being our host for the week. You got us into and out of some extraordinary situations but ultimately kept us alive and the experience and knowledge you have is unlike any I have ever seen.
I will definitely be back.
