🎃🐾 I’m so excited to invite you to our Halloween Dog Club, happening on Saturday 25th October, 10:30am–12:30pm at Checkley Community Centre! 🐾🎃

If you haven’t met us yet, let me introduce my Support Squad.. a team of gentle, experienced therapy dogs who’ve spent years working alongside me in schools and colleges. These dogs have helped so many children build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and form lasting friendships. I’ve seen first-hand how the skills children learn with our dogs.. like self-belief, patience, and relationship building that stay with them long after the session ends.

Here’s what I’ve got planned:
🎃 Haunted biscuit and gingerbread pumpkin decorating
🐾 Trick AND treat agility course with my Support Squad
🕸️ Spooky quizzes, word searches, and crafts
🎭 Fancy dress (no masks, please, so the dogs feel comfortable!)
🎶 Halloween music to set the scene

Who’s it for?
Children aged 11–16, especially those who are shy, neurodivergent, or have special educational needs. Every child is welcome in our supportive, inclusive space.

Cost: £15 per child or £25 for two children (siblings or friends).

Spaces are limited and filling up fast!
To book your child’s spot, just message me here on Facebook or email [email protected].

If you know a parent, carer, or friend who’d love this, please tag them below and help us make this Halloween magical for every child. We can’t wait to welcome you and your family! 🐶

🎃🐾 Halloween is almost here and so is our Dogs Minds Matter Halloween Dog Club! Join us on Saturday 25th October, 10:30am–12:30pm at Checkley Community Centre for a morning packed with spooky fun, creativity, and confidence-boosting activities.

If you’re new to us, meet our Support Squad.. gentle, experienced therapy dogs who’ve spent years supporting children in schools and colleges. They help kids build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and make lasting friendships. Skills that go far beyond our sessions!

We’re running this special club after receiving incredible feedback from families at our Summer Dog Club. One parent shared, “My son came out of his shell and looked forward to every session. He made new friends, learned so much from the dogs, and even overcame his anxiety. I can’t thank you enough for the difference it made!” That’s why we’re back for a Halloween edition.. so more children can experience this positive transformation.

Working with students in our communities

Children are able to attune themselves to different types of learning if we give them the appropriate developmental experiences. I work with local schools and colleges with my rescue dog from Cyprus Angus. Dogs are a social lubricant for my students and encourage greater social interactions, bridge social gaps, reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness. Working with dogs in a respectful and humane manner provides my students with integrational social benefits and develops positive contributions to the students and the community for the future.
