Skye may be in her golden years, but she's still got plenty of sparkle left in her ✨

She's always rocked the shaggy look, but with summer on the way her pawrents wanted something a little easier to manage. So we traded sandy beards and windswept fluff for a neater trim that's ready for beach days, garden naps, and all the adventures in between. ☀️🐾

A shorter coat doesn't mean less personality though. As you can see, Skye is serving just as much sass as ever. 💁‍♀️

Keeping older dogs comfortable is just as important as keeping them looking their best, and Skye left feeling fresh, tidy, and ready to enjoy the sunshine. 🧡

Meet Penny. 🧡

Now, Penny has never been the biggest fan of grooming. The bath? Questionable. The dryer? Absolutely not. The brushing? She'd rather be doing literally anything else.

Good job her mum's a groomer then. 😆

Penny came in for her Full Boop and, despite her reservations, she did so well. Taking things at her pace, keeping it positive, and making sure she felt comfortable throughout meant she finished looking fresh, tidy, and feeling pretty pleased with herself.

Not every dog loves grooming, and that's okay. Sometimes they just need a little extra patience, understanding, and the time to build confidence.

Oscar the Cavapoo puppy has officially graduated from his puppy sessions and today was his very first Full Boop! 🎓🐾

His pawrents wanted to keep that gorgeous fluffy puppy look, but make it a little more manageable for the warmer weather. So we went for a shorter body, longer teddy-bear legs, and plenty of face fluff for maximum cuteness. ☁️✨

Starting grooming young helps puppies build confidence, get comfortable with the process, and sets them up for a lifetime of stress-free grooming. Oscar absolutely smashed it and was a very good boy from start to finish. 🧡

☀️ SUMMER IS FILLING UP ☀️

As many of you know, BOOP is just me...Alex 🧡

Over the summer I'll be reducing my hours slightly to spend more time with my own pack, so appointments are more limited than usual - and July and August are already starting to look very busy.

If your dog is due a groom over the summer, I'd recommend getting booked in sooner rather than later.

And if your pup is on a regular grooming schedule, now is the perfect time to secure your next few appointments. Pre-booking helps make sure you get the days and times that work best for you, while keeping your dog looking and feeling their best all season long. 🧡

Ziggy’s before & after ✨

Grooming wasn’t her favourite thing and she was a little unsure, especially with her face, feet and the dryer 🥹 But we took everything nice and slow, worked at her pace, added a few tactical treats, and gave her lots of breaks and reassurance along the way 💛

And look how well she did 🥹 So proud of this little girl.

This week is warming up, and while we might be loving the sunshine… our dogs can struggle with the heat much faster than we do 🐶❤️

A few reminders to keep tails wagging safely this week:

🐾 Walk early morning or later evening
🐾 Pavement test: if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws
🐾 Keep fresh water available at all times
🐾 Shade, cool mats and paddling pools are your friend
🐾 Never leave dogs in cars - even for “just a minute”
🐾 Watch for signs of overheating: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy or wobbliness

Stay cool, stay safe, and give your dog an extra BOOF from us 🧡
