Another 520 ish quail eggs into the incubator ,
This will hopefully get us to around 1000 laying hens for our breeding colony.

As many are aware we are slowly selling up all our stock of poultry bar a few to be kept for eggs and expanding are quail business

This means over the next few weeks there will be some very good prices on hens, growers feeders and drinkers, brooder equipment.

Due to the glorious hot weather we are set to have on Sunday/Monday and Tuesday we have decided we will not be selling any birds on these days.

It would not be fair to put them under added stress of being transported to there new homes with such heat as is forecasted and we believe it would be a welfare issue.

They are a popular commercial meat bird and are known for their fast and reliable meat production. The Ross cobb birds have a very good feed conversion rate and provide excellent quality meat.

They can be ready for processing from 6 weeks onwards but depending on how they are grown on this can be extended to 10-12 weeks
