☀️ URGENT PET SAFETY WARNING ☀️

With temperatures set to hit a scorching 30°C across Chorley, Leyland, and Coppull today, please keep your pets safe. Heat like this can become dangerous and even fatal, incredibly quickly.

Here is what you need to do today:
🏠 Keep them inside: Keep your pets indoors where it’s cool. Open windows can trap hot air, so keep curtains closed on sun-facing windows.

💧 Hydration is key: Offer plenty of fresh, cool water. Try dropping a few ice cubes in their bowl!

🚫 Skip the midday walks: Only walk your dogs at the coolest times of the day (early morning or late at night). If the pavement is too hot for the back of your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.

🚨 REMINDER: We are CLOSED today for the Bank Holiday Monday.

Just to make our clients aware, there are some road closures this coming Sunday. Please bear in mind if you are travelling to the Chorley surgery.

🏃Chorley 10K and 2K Family Run return to the town centre on Sunday 3 May, therefore there will be road closures in place from 8am to 1pm on the day:

❌Southport Road: From its junction with Ackhurst Road to its merging with St Thomas's Road.
❌St Thomas's Road: From its merging with Southport Road to its junction with Market Street.
❌Market Street: From its junction with St Georges Street to its junction with Back Mount Street.
❌Park Road: From its merging with Market Street to its junction with Preston Street.

🚗Parking Restrictions:
❌On Saturday 2 May there will be NO OVERNIGHT PARKING on Market Street (from the junction at High Street to the junction at St George's street) and Park Road (adjacent to the park gates).

Unfortunately we have had a deceased cat brought into our Chorley Branch today. Black and white male, entire, no collar or microchip. Found on Eaves Lane across from Tesco Express. If you think this cat may be yours, please contact the Chorley Branch.

🐾 Easter Opening Hours 🐣

Please note our opening hours over the Easter weekend:

❌ Friday 3rd April – Closed
🐾 Saturday 4th April – Open as normal
❌ Sunday 5th April – Closed
❌ Monday 6th April – Closed

For any emergencies while we are closed, please contact our usual out-of-hours provider.

We will reopen as normal on Tuesday.

Gorgeous Lottie came in for her vaccinations yesterday and completely stole our hearts! ♥️

Deceased Cat Found. Please share

Sadly, a deceased cat has been brought into our Chorley practice after being found on Ackhurst Industrial Estate. The cat is not microchipped. Due to injuries, we are unable to determine the s*x. However, they do have distinctive grey and white markings.
