Hi everyone, very sorry for the late update. Just to say I will be back on the road next week beginning the 7th and I shall be going through my list of priority grooms , the older and more difficult dogs and the woolly mammoths that I’ve not been able to see will be first . Please please bear with me , I am still recovering and have to have breaks in between grooms as I’ve still got swelling and pain , still taking pain relief but a lot less , I’ve got to have a balance between physio , rest and work otherwise I will overdo it . It’s major surgery and I also had extremely low iron so had to deal with that too.
The heat is extreme and not helping matters. I know some of your dogs are struggling in the heat but to put them on the van will not help as the temp on there is way over 40° , plus they’ll need drying so they’ll be even hotter , keep them cool , let them lie on damp towels , don’t even think about taking them out , keep them out if the sun , give them ice cubes in their water and damp them down with a cool flannel or towel. Clean gently round their eyes and bottoms , the heat is only here for a few more days . My van isn’t air conditioned so if I can’t stand the temp in there your dog won’t . I’ll be booking in from next week to those I’ve not seen whilst trying to work from home . I will contact those whom have messaged and that are in my list , some that were due the beginning of May I missed.
