Opportunity for a dog loving junior person 😍

fans Hunters Lodge Riding Centre

We are inviting applications to Join Allpaws Juniors. Applicants should be aged between 8-14 years and have some basic dog handling skills.

We have 2 places available who will be selected after a very in formal assessment. The assessment day will be advertised generally from the 18th with the successful applicants starting in September. Allpaws Club members have this preference for any applications

Here at Hunters Lodge we wish the Princess Royal a very Happy 75th Birthday.
As a life long equestrienne she has shown great skill competing in 3 day eventing & won an individual gold medal at the 1971 Burghley Three-Day Event, and individual and team silver medals in 1975 at Luhmuhlen.
She also represented Great Britain in the 1976 Olympics.
Princess Anne is the President of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) and was previously the Patron. She has always been very engaged with the association and as the venue for Chichester RDA we thank her for that support.
( who remember Rags, the Blue Peter pony? Or even Jet? One of our staff here at HL even helped to train Rags to carriage drive!!

She is president of World Horse Welfare https://www.worldhorsewelfare.org/about-us/our-people/trustees
In 1986 she assumed the presidency of the Fédération Équestre Internationale until 1994. The FEI is the governing body of international horse sport.
She still regularly rides at formal Royal and State occasions and retains many horses at home.
Her input and expertise has, over the years, helped to support and improve many aspects of the horse world both here & abroad.

2 hour clinic 11am - 1.30pm
(30 min break midway, please bring lunch)
£10 per person. Everyone welcome.

Local judge & ring steward, Kerry Cooper brings her years of experience in the show world to Hunters Lodge.
Showing horses for family and friends at all levels of showing , including many county shows all over the country, and as a regular groom turning out to a high standard for shows such as HOYS, RIHS & London international horse show as well as Judging, including for Manhood Riding Club, Kerry knows her stuff!
She will be demonstrating;
🐴How to show your horse or pony in the ring.
🤠What to do, how handle your horse.
🔎What the judge is looking for.
🎩What to wear.
& lots more!

We are looking forward to the highlight of the summer!
All students are encouraged to participate in the show.

Ponies are £6 per class to hire and entries are £8 per class as we are a group member of the club . You will need to book your ponies and enter with Sharon Nicholson ASAP please.
Do ask us if you have any questions or are unsure what it’s all about. 😊
We have a selection of showing outfits ( jodphurs/jackets/hat covers etc;) that can be borrowed for a tiny fee (£1 per item) if you need the right gear 😉
