Just a quick reminder... ☀️

We're doing everything we can to keep dogs comfortable during this hot weather, including air conditioning, fresh water, cooling mats, cool dryer settings and frozen dog treats. 🐾💧

We'll be monitoring the salon temperature closely and, if conditions become too warm for dogs to be groomed safely and comfortably, we may need to adjust grooms or rearrange appointments. We'll always give as much notice as possible, but this may occasionally need to happen at short notice.

Please help keep your dog as cool as possible on the way to and from the salon. If a dog arrives showing signs of heat stress, excessive panting or discomfort, we may need to postpone their groom for welfare reasons.

If you'd prefer to rearrange your appointment due to the weather, please let us know as soon as possible.

As always, your dog's welfare comes first. 💚

🐾 As we continue to work hard to improve and develop The Stables Dog Grooming, we remain committed to ongoing education, training, and professional development. 🐾

As we look to the future, we know that many dogs struggle with grooming for a variety of reasons, whether that's anxiety, previous experiences, age-related challenges, health conditions, mobility issues, or simply finding the grooming environment overwhelming. We want to do everything we can to help these dogs feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout their grooming journey.

To help us achieve this, Rachel is working hard towards her Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour (Canine), deepening her understanding of canine communication, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing. At the same time, Claire is studying for her Diploma in Canine Massage Therapy, learning techniques that can help identify muscular discomfort, support mobility, and promote overall wellbeing.

We are also fortunate to work alongside family members with experience in canine hydrotherapy, which gives us a greater appreciation of how mobility, rehabilitation, fitness, and musculoskeletal health can affect a dog's comfort and quality of life. While grooming remains our primary focus, having access to knowledge from related canine professions helps us take a more holistic view of each dog's overall wellbeing.

Together, these additional qualifications and experiences will further support our welfare-focused approach to grooming, helping us better understand each dog's individual needs and adapt our grooming practices accordingly.

Every course we attend, qualification we gain, and skill we learn helps us provide the very best care and experience for the dogs entrusted to us.

🐾 **Puppy Play Breaks Matter!** 🐾

Grooming can be a big experience for young puppies, so we like to include plenty of little play and cuddle breaks throughout their visit. 💚

These short breaks help puppies relax, build confidence, and create positive associations with grooming, making future visits much easier and more enjoyable.

After all, puppy grooming isn't just about looking good—it's about helping your puppy learn that grooming can be a fun and safe experience. 🐶✨

Hi everyone ☀️

With the hot weather continuing, we wanted to let you know that we're doing everything we can to keep dogs comfortable during their groom, including air conditioning, fresh water available at all times, cooling mats, cool dryer settings and frozen dog treats. 🐾💧

We will be monitoring the salon temperature closely throughout the day. If temperatures become excessive, or if we feel conditions are no longer suitable for dogs to be groomed comfortably and safely, we may need to rearrange some appointments. We will always give as much notice as possible, but we wanted to make clients aware that this may occasionally be necessary at short notice.

We would also ask owners to help keep dogs as cool as possible when travelling to and from the salon. If a dog arrives showing signs of heat stress, excessive panting or discomfort, we may be unable to carry out the groom and may need to rearrange the appointment for their welfare.

If you would prefer to change your dog's appointment due to the hot weather, please let us know as soon as possible and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
