Hi there, as we’ve had a few new followers I thought I’d reintroduce myself.

I’m Faith, the face behind Paws That Roam

….and these are my two gorgeous rescue German Shorthaired Pointers Ozzie and Bear.

Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve had the joy of rescuing several dogs of my own and growing up surrounded by sighthounds and terriers. I know how hard it can be leaving your dog during a busy day and wondering if they’re getting the care, attention, and stimulation they really need.

That’s exactly why I created Paws That Roam. I wanted to create a service that owners could truly trust. One where your dog is cared for as if they were my own, and where you can head into your day knowing they’re safe, happy, and in experienced hands.

We provide personalised and enrichment-focused dog walking tailored to each dog’s energy, age, temperament and comfort level.

We offer:
* Small group walks
* Solo 1–1 walks
* Secure Dog Field walks
* Paws and Play Home visits

For me, this isn’t just a job, it’s a business built around care, trust, and a genuine love for dogs.

I know it’s August, but very soon we’ll be Back to school. Back to work. Back to wondering how everyone needs to be in three different places by 8.30am.

September brings a welcome return to routine, but it can also mean a big change for dogs who have grown used to having their favourite people around.

Regular walks give them a familiar highlight in their week, with meaningful exercise, sensory-rich adventures and plenty of opportunities to sniff and explore.

Whether your dog enjoys a carefully matched small group or prefers to shine solo, we’ll create a routine shaped around their needs.

Welcome to the pack, Bonnie! 🧡

Everyone say hello to Bonnie, a beautiful Cocker Spaniel who has joined the Paws That Roam family for regular Paws & Play visits while her owner is at work.

With those bright, curious eyes and a love of garden games, Bonnie has been an absolute joy to spend time with. Every visit is filled with sniffing adventures, enrichment, plenty of fuss, and of course, a few rounds of her favourite garden games. 🎾

Not every dog needs a full walk every day. Sometimes, what they really need is a friendly face, a chance to stretch their legs, have some fun, and break up a long day at home.

Our Paws & Play visits are designed to do exactly that. They're perfect for busy office days, giving dogs companionship, enrichment, toilet breaks, fresh water, playtime and lots of attention, while giving owners complete peace of mind knowing their dog is happy, safe and cared for until they're home.

Hot weather means extra care for our dogs

At Paws That Roam, your dog’s safety always comes first. Our hot weather walking policy is designed around temperature, route safety, breed, age, health and each dog’s individual needs.

When temperatures rise, we adapt by;
*Walking earlier or later in the day
*Carrying plenty of fresh water�
*Choosing shaded woodland and coastal routes�
*Checking pavements and surfaces for hot ground
*Offering home and garden visits instead of walks during extreme heat

Please remember that dogs can suffer from heatstroke very quickly, especially flat-faced breeds, older dogs, puppies and high-energy dogs.

Warning signs to watch for;�
*Heavy panting�
*Excessive drooling�
*Bright red gums or tongue�
*Lethargy or wobbliness�
*Vomiting or diarrhoea
*Collapse or confusion

If you suspect heatstroke;�
*Move your dog somewhere cool�
*Offer small amounts of water�
*Use cool water to gradually lower body temperature�
*Contact your vet immediately
