Hi all 👋 quick update on Sidney.

Today he had his eye surgery — it’s currently a bit sore, but we’re hoping for a smooth and speedy recovery 🤞 He’s being such a good boy, feeling a little needy and soaking up all the cuddles ❤️‍🩹

A massive thank you to everyone who’s donated so far — your support means the world! 🥰

For anyone who doesn’t know Sidney’s story: he’s currently being fostered by our amazing team member Sue on behalf of Barkin Good Times All Animals Rescue. He came into their care with quite a few health issues, but with plenty of vet visits and a whole lot of love, he’s slowly getting there!

This handsome boy is Sidney and is currently being looked after by team member Sue. 🐾

Most of you will know Sue well – she is currently fostering Sidney on behalf of Barkin' Good Times Amall Animal's Rescue.

Sidney has been with Sue since February 25th. He was surrendered under sad circumstances and is now in need of eye surgery.❤️‍🩹

When Sidney first arrived, he had severe skin allergies, but with medication, his skin is now much better. Since staying with Sue he has been neutered and is making great progress.

After his most recent check up with the Vet it has been discovered that he now needs entropion surgery to correct an issue with his eyelid. 🤕

The rescue needs help raising money for his surgery. It is scheduled for April 14th and will cost £680. If any one would like to help with the cost of Sidney's surgery it would be greatly appreciated!

📢 Important Notice 📢

We have a couple of important updates to share regarding dog booster vaccinations and deposit policies for our bookings. Please read carefully to avoid any inconvenience.

🐾 💉Changes to Dog Booster Vaccinations💉🐾

The Current Requirement:

✅️DHP and Leptospirosis (Lepto) vaccinations are mandatory.

✅️The Kennel cough vaccine is optional.

✅️All vaccines should be given at least 2 weeks prior to arrival.

‼️Key Information for Adult Boosters‼️

The Lepto 2 vaccine has now been discontinued. Moving forward, all dogs previously vaccinated with Lepto 2 will now receive Lepto 4.

If transitioning from Lepto 2 to Lepto 4, your dog will require two injections:

1️⃣ The initial injection.
2️⃣ A second injection 28 days later.

After the second injection, there is an additional 2-3 week waiting period before your dog can board with us.

🔔 Important Reminder:

Please plan your dog’s booster vaccinations around your holidays to ensure they meet the updated requirements. Unfortunately, we cannot accept dogs that are partway through the Lepto 4 course or within the 2-week waiting period after their second injection.

🐈🐕Changes to Deposit Policy🐕🐈

• For bookings during June–September and the Christmas/New Year period, we now require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure the space.

• For all other times, our standard deposit policy will remain in place.

• Please note: All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Today, we say goodbye to a cherished friend and wonderful team member, Heather.

Heather joined Fiveacre's in 2021 and quickly became a valued member of the team. Many of you know that she was diagnosed with breast cancer, but this never stopped her from doing what she loved.

Despite the challenges of her illness and treatment, she remained incredibly strong. Whenever she felt well enough, Hev would come in to care for the fur babies holidaying with us, always bringing warmth and dedication.

Though she fought courageously, Hev sadly passed away last month, surrounded by her loved ones. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we will miss her dearly.

We know many of you have been asking after her, and we wanted to share this news with you today. Thank you all for your kind support; we know Heather would have appreciated the love 🩷

Merry Christmas from Fiveacres 🎄🎅

The trees are up, the elf has been for a visit, our guests throughout December have been getting us in to the Christmas spirit and presents are all wrapped ready for the big day tomorrow...even though we did nearly loose one to resident cat Viv stealing from under the tree 🤭
