This poor dog was euthanized.... its owner thought it was a good idea to give it doses of 600mg of ibuprofen as the dog had been hurt in a fight - they thought this would relieve the dogs pain.
It was 5 days before the owner took the dog to the vet, where euthanasia was elected by the owner.
Never ever give ibuprofen to a dog, it's highly toxic and destoys the liver. Dogs cannot process ibuprofen in the same way as humans, and the dog equivalent that is prescribed is a very different formulation.
This dog must have been in agony.
Always take your dog to an expert - the vet.
Never rely on social media for advice and never self medicate your pets with human medications unless advised to do so by a veterinarian.

We do not condone any abuse directed to the owners, or the veterinary profession nor suggest that the dog was abused or mistreated intentionally.
This particular case we understand was in the USA, but it does represent mistakes that happen all over the world....
