Today we have some sad news about Waggy Walkies…

As our clients know, we made the decision just before Christmas to close the business. Unfortunately, yesterday was our last day. This is due to constant struggles because of the cost of living, rising expenses and the challenges that being self-employed brings. So unfortunately, we had to make the decision to both go back to full-time employment.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing clients over the past couple of years, family and friends who have helped us along the way, and even the lovely people who constantly recommended us.

We will miss our little business and all of our furry friends so much and this was a very tough decision to make 😣 we can’t thank you all enough.

So we’d like to share some pictures from our last week as the Waggy Walkies gang. Please take some time to go through our page and save any pictures/memories you’d like to keep, as we will be deactivating the page at some point in the future. This also includes our dog treat page, MoreForPaws.

Thank you everybody for the past 2 years. Please don’t be strangers! We will definitely make the time to see our best friends again 😔🐶🐱

💙 Hugo turns 6! 💙

A massive happy birthday to the big loveable and cheeky teddy bear, Hugo! This is such a special birthday as unfortunately he was diagnosed with end stage kidney failure earlier this year. However he has battled every challenge thrown at him and he is still living his best life today with his best brother Henry and his amazing pawrents 🥰

He still amazes us everyday with how well he is doing and how much of a fighter he is. We know you’ll be absolutely spoiled rotten celebrating your special day and I’m sure there’ll be lots of prezzies from Santa over Christmas!🎅🎁

Never change, Hugo. We all love you to pieces and the world is certainly a better place with you in it 💙

Last week we said goodbye to the beautiful Bella 💔🙁

Don’t worry - she’s perfectly fine! She has moved away with her lovely pawrents to start their new adventures 💕

Bella was a daily addition to the Waggy Gang and was absolutely loved by everyone!! She was so amazing with every pup she met and she really helped to bring everyone together 🐶 If she wasn’t running around like a mad man she was foraging somewhere for goodies!

It was never a dull day with Bella and all of her friends will miss her so much. It’s been a pleasure to watch you grow with the Waggy Gang and see you turn into the confident (and fast!) lady you are today 🥰

Good luck Bella in your new adventures and we will all miss you lots! ❤️

Say hello to Max & Sarge’s new little brother, Reggie! He’s actually Max’s blood nephew! 😍

Reggie was born in September so he’s still a little small to join his new friends on the big boy walks, so it’s just check-ins on him for now - but we absolutely can’t wait for him to join and meet the rest of the gang to have lots of fun and get covered in lots and lots of mud! 🙈

❗️Important Updates - All existing clients please read ❗️

Hi everyone, we just wanted to say thank you for your continued support this year. In order to protect the longevity of our business, we are having to update our Terms & Conditions. It’s also that time of the year to talk Christmas! 🎄🎅

Please note that the following changes will be in affect from tomorrow:

Bookings: All bookings need to be made by 5pm on the Thursday of each week for the following week. This is to ensure we have a space for your pup, as we will be finalising our diary on Fridays.

Payments: We offer two payment options - you can either pay upfront when you make your booking for the week, or you can pay at the end of the working week. If you would prefer to pay at the end of the week, all payments MUST be made by 6pm on the Friday of each week. Unfortunately we are having to introduce a late fee due to continued missed and late payments. Please understand that this is our livelihood and we rely on on-time payments. Going forward with immediate effect, a late fee of £5 will be charged if the payment is late, unless deemed an emergency.

Cancellations: Once a booking has been made on the Thursday for the following week, the appointment slot will be secured for your dog. Should you need to cancel after this, 50% of the cost for the cancelled service will still be charged. If the cancellation notice is less than 24 hours before the service commences, the full cost will be charged due to insufficient notice. Again, there will be exceptions for situations deemed as an emergency.

Holidays: Could we please ask that you inform us about any holidays you have pre-booked with as much notice as possible to avoid significant loss of earnings. In this case there is never too much notice! The more notice we have means the more time we have to replace your appointed slot(s) if possible.

Christmas: As Christmas is an appropriate time to allow us to take some time off without causing too much inconvenience, this year we are going to be off for 2 weeks. Our last working day will be Friday 22nd December 2023 and we will be returning on Monday 8th January 2024. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused but please understand that we avoid taking many holidays at all throughout the year.

Winter: Please could you leave your doggys coats out if they have one and a towel for each walk to dry them off. We do carry towels with us but as you can imagine they don’t stretch very far with muddy doggies! 😂

If there are any concerns or if you have any queries, or feel you may not be able to adhere to our terms, please contact us and we will discuss this with you on a one-to-one basis. We will do our best accommodate any needs you may have ☺️
