Brian's work with horses spans over 5 decades and his work is not limited to one area or discipline. Here is a brief outline of Brian's CV.
- 25 years mounted police service, 14 years of which as a riding instructor, involving the training and development of young police horses.
- Owned, trained and rode point to point steeplechasers.
- Work rider at professional racing yards.
- NVQ level 3 in Ra

cehorse management and care, including the riding options.
- Hunted racehorses with Flint and Denbigh to qualify to ride in point to point races.
- 15 years working as equinesolutions, involving solving horse related problems and boosting riders confidence and performance.
- Backing young horses sympathetically with a focus of reducing problems later on.
- Brian has written a monthly magazine article for the last decade and continues to do so, providing advice and information based on his huge experience when working with horses.

Don’t forget to check this out tomorrow folks it should be a grand programme and I might be on a bit. Also I am making a series of programmes with the BBC over the next 18 months and whilst that is a bit of a hush job I will be inviting some clients to participate if they wish.

It will be on national tv and will encompass all my work both in the Uk and abroad. With the police horses the racehorses and other horse and rider training.

In the meantime I hope everyone enjoys the programme tomorrow. Some of which is set at The Cheshire Horse Sanctuary where I remain a trustee. 🤠

Thanks so much to the wonderful and enduring support of Rene Pover and Katy Pover I will be back in Germany in the first week of October helping the horses and riders reach their own personal riding and training goals…

I could do none of this without Rene and Katy who are/simply the perfect hosts. After a major personal setback recently and having to cancel my last trip which cut deep with me, everybody has kept the faith and bookings are looking as strong as ever.

Moreover, we have the beginnings of a plan for a lecture demonstration too which would be the absolute icing on the cake of this sublime adventure, a rich part of my own equine journey of a lifetime.

In my best Germish here goes … Ic bin very glucklich and du bist der best my frienduns ...

Young Emily (just ten years old) is making tremendous progress on Glen the Connemara who is really growing into his impeccable frame now. The roadwork is invaluable especially when the rider has all the important lines level … feet, elbows and shoulders … grand job Emily and mum Carolyn Thornburn who is a wonderful guide and support to Em as well as a super rider herself 👏

I thought the maltesers were not really helping so I popped to the quack for a chat… and this is the reason I was a bit uncomfortable.. after my crash into concrete falling from a tricky horse last Friday …

6 broken ribs
Double hernia
Torn hamstring both legs
Multiple heavy contusions too many to count
Subluxation of the right hip ..

And assorted other things I already had …

… in the horse world we call this a bang… the good news is I can still do my Tai Chi 👌…
