❄️ Is your pet winter-ready? ⛄

Colder days can be tough on joints, weight, and all-round wellbeing — even if your pet looks like they’re doing just fine.

A winter wellness screen* helps us look a little deeper. No guesswork. No waiting for signs. Just peace of mind — so they can keep zooming, tail-wagging, and just being their happy little selves.

📞 Call us to book their winter screen and help keep them feeling good.

*For healthy dogs aged over five and cats aged over seven. If your pet is unwell, please book a vet consultation. Visit our website for full details.

🚨 Parvovirus Alert – Wrexham Area 🚨

We have been made aware of a number of confirmed parvo cases in the Wrexham area.

👉 Please be extra vigilant and seek veterinary advice immediately if your dog shows any signs of illness, including:

Vomiting
Diarrhoea (especially bloody)
Lethargy
Loss of appetite

💉 Ensure that your dog’s vaccinations are fully up to date, as this is the best protection against this potentially fatal disease.

Your vigilance could save lives. Please share to help spread awareness and keep our dogs safe.

NURSE LEAD WELLNESS SCREENING
For only £39.99 we offer a wellness screen for your beloved pet.
Cats over 7 years, Dogs over 5 years or large breed dogs over 3 years.
A wellness screening is a comprehensive medical MOT for your cat or dog that can detect health issues and help to give you peace of mind about your pet’s health
and wellbeing.

What is included in a wellness screening?
A physical exam, a complete clinical history, urine testing, a blood pressure measurement and blood testing for all common organ function-related diseases including:

kidney disease

liver disease

diabetes

high blood pressure

What do I need to do before my wellness screening appointment?

It is ideal if pets are fasted for 12 hours before their appointment (no food but allowed access to water).

A fresh urine sample should be brought to the appointment in a clean, dry container. For advice on collecting urine samples, please contact your practice.

If you are unable to undertake either of the points above, please attend your appointment and the team will advise you further.

The person bringing your pet to the appointment should be familiar with their health status, habits, and routines.

You will receive your results within 10 days of the screening. If all is well, you will receive a text or email from your practice team.
If there are any abnormal results, the practice team will be in touch to arrange for a vet to discuss the next steps. This may include a recommendation for a change of diet, medication or further investigations.

overactive thyroid (cats only)
