The team are keen to provide an excellent, professional, personalised and personal service to all our customers with the best interests, health and wellbeing of the animals always considered. The

services that we provide are:
K-Laser; We offer state of the art class IV Laser, K-Laser treatment, it can help your dog, cat, rabbit or horse with varied treatments and applications. The biological effects include but are not limited to Accelerated tissue repair and cell growth. Anti-inflammation, Anti-pain (Analgesic), improved vascular activity. Increased metabolic activity, improved nerve function, immunoregulation and can target trigger points and acupuncture points. Hydrotherapy;
We have 2 top of the range brand new hydro-physio under water treadmills with extended length chambers and incline options at our centre suitable for all breeds and sizes. Canine Hydrotherapy is used in the treatment of osteoarthritis, orthopaedic conditions, neurological conditions, muscle, ligament and other soft tissue injuries. It can also help with general convalescence, improve general fitness, cardiovascular stamina, muscle tone and is also helpful in aiding recovery from injury or surgery. Muscle wastage begins within 3 days of any immobilisation so to prevent further weakness or injury it is important to rebuild, through safe exercise, any muscles that have deteriorated. It is better to swim/walk dogs in heated water since cold water causes constriction of the blood vessels near the skin and to the superficial muscles (those just under the skin) which restricts the flow of blood making the muscles less efficient. Hydrotherapy is also considered to be a natural anti-inflammatory through its ability to reduce tissue swelling. Stance Analysis; We use our stance analysis system to assess and quantify our patients weight loading through each limb and use this to benchmark and monitor progress over time or to monitor early detection of potential lameness with referral back to your primary care veterinarian. This can help us validate our treatment plans to our clients and eliminates subjective interpretation. Theraplate; The Theraplate uses small, circular movements to stimulate muscle contraction and increase circulation. It works from the inside of your body out to yield powerful results with no negative impact to the joints. It can increase ATP within your body with unto 50% healing due to this increase along with reducing inflammation and swelling. It improves balance, joint, ligament and tendon function as well as building lean even muscle mass throughout your whole body with consistent use. Veterinary Nurses; We have a plethora of knowledge from our experienced and registered veterinary nurses who are available to answer your questions and offer support through a range of non-prescriptive activities

Physiotherapy;
Our Physiotherapist will devise an individual plan with you for rehabilitation, sports or pre-event/ post event activities.

🎉 WOW — We’re Celebrating 3 Years! 🎉

This week marks three amazing years of owning—and hopefully running—the best hydrotherapy centre in the area!

When we first spoke to Michael and Tracy about taking over, we had no idea what the future would hold. What we did know was that we loved helping dogs, and over the last three years that passion has grown beyond anything we could have imagined.

It has been an absolute privilege to be part of so many journeys, supporting both our wonderful dogs and their owners. We’ve shared milestones, celebrated achievements, made lasting friendships, and created countless special memories along the way.

To everyone who has trusted us with their four-legged family members: thank you. Your support, loyalty, and enthusiasm have made these three years truly unforgettable.

We love caring for all of your furry babies, and we’re so grateful to every pup who has padded through our doors. To those who have moved on from us—please don’t be strangers! You’ll always be part of our family and are welcome anytime. And to the new faces and wagging tails yet to come, we can’t wait to meet you.

Here’s to the memories we’ve made, the lives we’ve touched, and many more years of splashing, healing, and tail wags ahead! 🐾💙

Thank you for being part of our journey. 🐶✨

Happy 1st birthday to this absolute superstar.
When she was just 8 months old, she had to undergo an FHNE, full right hip rebuild and pelvic rebuild after being knocked over. She has come such a long way so far, and she is working hard with her long road to recovery🥰
I'd like to say she enjoys her hydro, but I think she prefers the K-Laser 😂

When you’re made to wait for your Hydrotherapist! Hurry up Sarah….

Who can help Keef find a foster home? 🏠 🐾

Keef is just 4-years-old and looking for a foster home with SSDR. Like so many, Keef's owner has threatened to have him PTS if we cannot find a placement over the next few weeks 😢.

He is a friendly, happy boy that LOVES human attention and will happily live with female dogs. Keef can guard his favourite toys from other dogs so needs work on sharing.

Keef currently lives with children but we will need a teenager and older home who can give him space when needed but will play ball with you all day long.

If you can offer this beautiful boy a foster home, please get in touch www.saintssleddogrescue.co.uk/fostering 💻

A different kind of laser patient this afternoon which we hope to be doing more of soon! 🐴
Roo needed a bit of K-Laser to help speed up his healing process following on from his physio appointment after a slip in the field to help ease some stiffness and any potential inflammation to help with his mobility after noticing slight lameness. He stood like a dream and was very curious about the small device but thankfully no laser wands were eaten in the process❤️

Sometime soon we look to be treating more horses, here’s a few examples of what we can help with:
🌟 Performance horses with neck and back pain
🌟 Kissing spines
🌟 Suspensory issues and Tendinitis
🌟 Trauma cases- leg wounds, lacerations & Hematomas
🌟 Arthritis/ OA
🌟 Muscular Stiffness

Had the pleasure as always of treating these 2 gorgeous Shelties today.
Patsy is keen to get her hydro done but Liam gets a bit nervous so it was only right patsy was there to be his cheerleader by sitting on the ramp, whilst, rightly so, making sure to get the benefits of cheering him on by getting paid in treatos 🫶🏼. We love you guys❤️

Red is a gorgeous rescue being fostered through Brysons Animal Shelter, he came in for his Assessment today, following a difficult journey of not just FHNE but a fractured femur and other difficulties he’s on the road to recovery.

Hydrotherapy uses water-based exercise—often in an underwater treadmill or therapy pool—to help dogs rebuild strength and mobility. The properties of water make it ideal for recovery:

🐕Buoyancy reduces the amount of weight placed on the recovering hip
🐕 Resistance helps strengthen muscles safely
🐕Warm water improves circulation and relaxes tight muscles
🐕Controlled movement encourages proper gait and limb use

🐾 Benefits for Dogs Recovering from FHNE

• Faster muscle rebuilding around the hip
• Improved range of motion
• Reduced pain and stiffness
• Better balance and coordination
• Increased confidence using the operated leg

Hydrotherapy sessions are usually introduced once the surgical site has healed and your veterinarian clears your dog for rehabilitation. Each program is tailored to the dog’s size, condition, and stage of recovery.

Our goal for Red

After FHNE, dogs rely on surrounding muscles to create a “false joint.” Strengthening these muscles is essential—and hydrotherapy provides a safe, supportive environment to do exactly that.

With the right rehab plan, many dogs return to happy, active lives—running, playing, and enjoying their favorite activities again.
