I can’t believe I’m writing this 💔🥲💔 Today our hearts are broken as a family. Our beautiful senior princess Vera 🐾👑 had a stroke this morning. The emergency vet came to the house, but she had lost the use of her one side and her legs, and her breathing had become so heavy. With tears in our eyes, we were told it was time to say goodbye and let her rest peacefully.
Vera’s story was one of strength and love. She came all the way from China 🇨🇳✈️ 6 and a half years ago, our very first rescue pug, saved from such a terrible start in life. Despite being blind, she never let anything hold her back. She pottered around happily, bossed us for her food and water 🍲💧, and loved nothing more than being the mummy pug 💕 caring for her son Dylan and every rescue who joined our family. Her heart was pure gold, and her love was endless.
To us, Vera was so much more than a pet. She was family, a little diva 👑, our comfort, and our joy. Losing her has left us heartbroken 😢💔 but we take comfort knowing she is now running free across the rainbow 🌈 bridge, reunited with her best friends Bruno, Bubbles, and Paddy 🕊️🐾.
Vera, our precious girl, thank you for every cuddle, every wag, every ounce of love you gave us. We loved you with all our hearts ❤️ and gave you the best life we possibly could. We only wish our love could have saved you. Sleep peacefully now, princess 👑✨ Until we meet again… forever loved, forever missed 🐾🌹🌈
