Dear All, we are still having a BIG problem with people speeding through the farm & this is (almost) exclusively people using the walking field.

I am now getting complaints on a daily basis & often multiple times a day at weekends! Even if no one complains, I see it for myself on the CCTV CAMERAS 😝

THE SPEED LIMIT IS FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY. I find it amazing that all the people speeding are dog owners themselves yet are prepared to put the safety of other dogs & animals at risk!

5MPH is SLOW, ITS WALKING PACE. If you are in 2nd gear you are speeding, if you have an automatic & have your foot on the accelerator, you are speeding.

The rule applies to every one.

I am now keeping a list of all those that have been speeding & repeat offenders may be excluded from using our venue in future.

Come on people, it’s really not that difficult. 🙏

Dear All,
We currently have Thames Water onsite doing essential repairs to a sewerage pipe that crosses our field. Please be aware there maybe disruptions & we may have to cancel bookings, this is unfortunately out of our control.

Apologies in advance if you are affected by this 😣

Hi everyone,

We are currently doing some research on trigger clips on dog leads & would really appreciate your help please 🙏

Below is a link to a very short survey (literally 5 question), it’s anonymous & you won’t receive any follow up mails/marketing etc. This is all about dog safety which as fellow dog lovers, we are sure you are also passionate about 🥰

Thank you in advance,
Roger & the whole COA team

Dear Dog Lover , If you are like me , you will have accumulated a collection of dog leads old and new and with a great variety of metal clips . I am researching the relative efficiency and safety of those clips , so need your help by completing a short questionnaire on your experience of walking you...

During this wet weather, please ensure that you when you drive into Mugford's Meadow, that you keep your vehicle to the hard-standing area or the likelihood is that you will get stuck in the mud!

Silly muntjac, it somehow managed to get into Mugford’s Meadow last night & our early morning walkers this morning found it stuck in the fence, lucky for this silly deer, Dr Mugford was quick to the rescue & it’s now back, living its best life on the other side of the fence! 😀

SAPLING TREES IN THE FIELD

Dear field users,

Please don’t let your dogs chew our sapling trees that are planted in the main field.

I have again, found several young trees that have been chewed through on my evening check last night, these are unlikely to survive.😢 We have already lost a lot of trees due to the drought last year which we are slowly replacing, only to find them destroyed.

It is really disappointing that some people think this is acceptable, we are trying to make Mugford’s Meadow a nice place for you & your dogs to walk but there are a minority of people that seem happy to let their dogs just destroy anything we put in there!

If you really have to let your dog chew wood/sticks then please take it down to the wooded area in the bottom of the field where there are literally hundreds of sticks that they can chew to their hearts content!

If you find chewed trees during your session, please do report them to us, so we can narrow down the times to certain users.
