IMPORTANT INFORMATION

To all my past, present and potential customers:

It is with huge sadness and regret that as of today I can no longer continue with Paws and Claws Pet Services.

I have been pet sitting, boarding, walking, cleaning and cuddling animals of all shapes, sizes, breeds and ages for over 3 years now, and I have loved every minute. However, I knew there had to be a day that I terminated my services, and that day has come.

As I'm sure you're aware, I've been at university studying Primary Education since September 2015, and am due to graduate in July. This afternoon, I have signed a contract of employment as a full time teacher in Kuwait, starting in August, for 2 years. I fly out on the 20th of August 2018, but between now and then, I have exams, university, graduation, holidays and preparation, so I can't commit to anything any longer, as events keep popping up all the time!

It is with mixed feelings I accepted the job: It is my dream career but I have to give up pet sitting which has been my pride and joy for the last few years.

I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone, and all of your pets too, for getting me through sixth form and university, and opening so many doors for me! I've met some amazing customers and friends through Paws and Claws, and it is with a heavy heart I am leaving it behind.

My insurance will terminate at the end of this month (April), so I will not be pet sitting after this date. Who knows, when I am back in the UK and settled into a job, it may be the right time to start up again!!

Today the Paws & Claws clan lost a beloved member, Chivers.

You may remember last July when I found him on the road in the pouring rain, homeless and starving. After almost a year together, 17 year old Chivs has now passed away peacefully.

If you know me, I’m much more of a dog person, but Chivers was an exception; I taught him to do paw, he showed the dogs who was boss, and he had a cool face that honoured his half Persian heritage. He was a very special cat and he will be missed dreadfully.❤️🐾 Rest in peace ginger man x

Whilst Paws & Claws didn’t win today, I still had an amazing experience and managed to network with some invaluable people. I had a fantastic day meeting incredible young entrepreneurs and hearing their stories, and I am very, very grateful to have been a finalist amongst all else! Thank you to everyone for your support!

A few weeks ago I posted a video pitch about Paws & Claws being entered into the Welsh Government’s Big Ideas Celebrated national competition. Today I found out I’ve been chosen as a finalist for the event which is handily being held at my university! If you’re in Bangor on March 22nd come and say hi and celebrate small businesses from all over Wales! 🎉🎉🐾🐶🐱

Hi guys, I owe you an update!

I'm due to fully qualify as a teacher after 3 hard years this July. This means there WILL be some inevitable changes to how this works, my availability and all that jazz.

I'll of course keep you updated through this page, but if you have any questions please feel free to call (if I don't answer, call again, text or leave a message; I am still on placement!), text, message, email, send a carrier pigeon, telegram... anything! I endeavour to get back to you as soon as I can, but I have a lot going on at the moment (to prepare for the world of real work! EEK!).

So far, all I know is that I probably won't be in Bangor in September and I'll probably be back in Chepstow. This depends on a variety of issues, such as where I can find a job to teach which at the moment is my priority. I'm looking in the area as well as Torfaen, Newport and Cardiff as my goal is to be able to teach and do this (my love).

However, I CAN NOT guarantee ANYTHING at the moment so I won't be taking ANY BOOKINGS at the moment for ANY TIME. I can't promise anything, so I can't book anyone in. This is by no means permanent and I will most likely be available over the summer, Christmas and half terms (even moreso than usual due to graduating!), but as nothing's clear yet (which is scary!) I can't make any promises, so it's easier for me to shut my bookings down. If you have any enquiries, I'll deal with them on a case by case basis, so if you do want me to sit, I'll let you know individually.

It's a really hard decision for me, but like I've said, it's the most sensible idea. I love my customers (and their owners hahah!) a lot, so it's taken every inch of me to say this and I hope you understand.

Paws and Claws will NOT be stopped however, and when I have a permanent position as a teacher, I will look into the feasibility of continuing on. I am attending an intensive business bootcamp in March to gain networking and advice to help me do both, and work out the best pathway for me to follow.

Sorry for the essay and uncertain future, but I have to do what's best for me and at the moment, it's this. Love you all lots, and please stay in touch, I AM STILL INSURED, THIS IS NOT THE END!

Hi guys! I’m entering Big Ideas Wales’ national showcase competition for young entrepreneurs this year! I had to upload a 2 minute video explaining my business, and I thought my lovely followers and customers might like to see my pitch! It’s also a great way to get to know me and the business too, and a little bit of background about Paws & Claws!

I have also just passed my 3 year mark and we are now in our 4th year as a business. I hope I can work with Big Ideas Wales to make Paws & Claws work well for me in the future and build it into something even more amazing. Thank you all for 3 fantastic years; I hope you enjoy my awkward video!!

Happy new year everyone!

Paws & Claws is taking an annual break until mid June/July (but I’m open at Easter... stay tuned for dates!) as this year is my final year of university and graduation!

This means by July, I’ll be a qualified Primary School teacher. What does this mean for you, though?

I will be returning to Chepstow full time from July. This means I can pet sit all year round, but I will hopefully have a part time or full time job as a teacher too. I will NOT be terminating Paws & Claws as I throughly enjoy looking after your pets, so instead I’m seeking the advice of a business mentor to help me expand and improve the business for 2018. This is incredibly exciting and I really look forward to it!

Unfortunately, with everything that’s happening over the next few months, and unconfirmed exam and graduation dates, I can’t take any bookings for May at all, and must hesitate to take bookings for June and July until I can confirm my availability. However, as August goes, I am fully available!

Apologies for the long message, but you all deserve to know what’s going on in my life at the moment, especially as I know my availability effects many of your holiday plans, which is very humbling!

Of course, plans do change, but this is what’s happening in the future at the moment, so I apologise if anything differs from what I’ve said here!
