We work hard to ensure we have spaces available for your pooches and theres not a huge wait.

Our lil' tiddlers are hitting the shelves this week, these baltic herring are a great treat for your pooch.

Bigger than our sprats but still great value, same weight packet for the same price.

Unfortunately our bagged jumbo sprats are running low and due to seasonal availability these won't be back in stock for a while.

Fresh into all the salons this week is these freezable rocket lollies for your dogs. A fantastic option for cold enrichment while this heat keeps up.

Take them home, pop them in the freezer for a few hours and serve. (even the stick is edible)

Well most of you already know but Julies Mucky Pups gladly became a part of the Shampooch family back in October 2025. We want to say thank you for continuing to support our team during the change.

Some highlights of what's changed so far:
1. Air Conditioning - No more super early appointments,
2. Pet Safety - the salon has had updates to its layout to ensure there is 2 full height doors between where we work with your pet to the outside world
3. Better quality supplies - Now we are part of something bigger it means the quality of our grooming supplies is better, but are able to keep prices down for this.
4. Improved response times to enquires and availability - something we are still making great improvements to is your ability to get in touch. If we aren't able to pick up the phone in salon a team member from another branch can help you get booked
5. No more hidden charges! - This one is super important to us. We are happy to accommodate late pickups throughout the day if arranged beforehand or at drop off. Traffic shouldn't mean you are punished.

(There is plenty more things that have changed behind the scenes as well)

The salon has still got some way to go to be as fabulous as we want it for your pets so thank you for continuing to support us!

Further to recent events in the pet grooming industry we continue to call on the Welsh Senedd to expedite the process of bringing in consulted regulation to pet grooming.

We have written to all the AM's of Sir Fynwy Torfaen, and are encouraging our fellow groomers to do the same. As an industry we need to ensure customers should be free from worry and a certain level of care is required by law.

We do not intend to get involved in party politics, all we want is to be consulted on what we feel should become required for salons. The safety of your pets in our care will remain a priority.

Our diary gets pretty full, especially over the summer months. Advance booking is recommended and we are always happy to move appointments if what you booked is no longer suitable.

We operate a cancelation list throughout the year but an appointment must be booked in to be on the list to be booked in sooner.
