Dear Friends

It is with very mixed emotions that today we waved off our final pair of boarding buns and formally closed our doors on The Pet Boarding Lodge. It has been a blast! Exhausting, enjoyable, stressful, emotional and fulfilling are all words that we would use to describe our time running the The Lodge.

Thank you most sincerely to all of you that have boarded with us, entrusting your most precious furry family to our care. It has been an honour and privilege to care for them and we have been very humbled by your support of our business and for us personally. Thank you for your generosity.

Tonight we have opened a bottle of gifted Prosecco and raised our glasses in a toast of thanks to you all and to all our future endeavours.

Thank you all once again! Stay safe and stay in touch.

Dear All

I hope this email finds you and your loved ones safe and well.

It is with a huge degree of sadness that I am sharing the news of my decision to retire from The Pet Boarding Lodge. It comes after a particularly challenging year for Ginny and me from a health perspective and, of course, on account of the difficulties we all faced, and continue to face, with COVID.

It has been a time of reflection, assessment, re-direction and for a new challenge! Unsurprisingly to most of you, I am not taking full time retirement, rather just redirecting and refocusing efforts.

The Pet Boarding Lodge will officially close its doors after September. All existing bookings in the calendar will of course be honoured.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my clients for their business and support over the years. It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to care for all of your fur babies and I am extremely touched and grateful for the Trust that you have put in me. I have enjoyed the last 7 years immensely and it is with very mixed emotions that I write this note. As I said though, it is time for me to take a different path.

I will have a recommendation for an alternative boarding facility and will share this with you in a separate note. For now though, from Ginny and from me, thank you all once again for your support of our business over these last 7 years.

Husbun and wife, Bobby and Kezia are back at the lodge for some holiday pampering. Meanwhile, beautiful Fizz has settled straight back in and enjoying the variation of fleecy blankets with underfloor heating and a hay den. A typical girl, she can’t quite make up her mind so is choosing to use both! 😅

Hi Everyone, just to let you all know that we have had notification from Meadows, our supplier of the F10 ranges of disinfectant, hand sanitizer etc., and they have informed us that the F10 range has now been fully tested by independent laboratories and confirmed to be 100% effective against Covid-19. We use most of the product range ourselves and highly recommend. 😊
