I’ve been a bit rubbish at posting pics of our gorgeous Love Hounds recently!

When the weather is hot we have to cram a lot of walks into a smaller very early window. Which has meant some days we have finished walks by 8am!
Our actual working day doesn’t finish then though as we offer free toilet breaks to dogs that have been walked earlier than usual.
Then there is the obsessive checking of the next days temperature, considerations of the dogs breed, age and health & the logistics.
So I want to say a huge thank you to all of you for being amazing dog owners who understand why we need to change the times and an even bigger thank you to Laure, Grace & Josh for adapting their work days - you’re amazing 🥰

Before Hugo cracks open his cocktail and starts his pool party he wanted to remind you that tomorrow is a Bank Holiday so no early morning walks.
Emma will be in touch about changes to walk times for the rest of the week!!

Have a great Bank Holiday & remember :

🌞 keep in the shade
🌞 always have water available
🌞 walks in the early morning or late evening
🌞 it’s ok not to be walked
🌞 make sure there is a steady supply of treats 😉

A few weeks ago we met with Helen Smith from Daisybank CIC to hear the story behind a remarkable community effort to protect a piece of land in Cheltenham for nature and people.

When the land at Daisybank at the foot of Leckhampton Hill came up for sale, local residents came together to raise funds and secure the site, helping ensure it could remain a space for wildlife, wellbeing and community use rather than being lost to development.

It was fascinating to hear how the project developed, from the initial community campaign through to the creation of Daisybank CIC, and to learn more about the hopes for the site in the future.

Stories like this are an important reminder of what communities can achieve when people come together around care for local green spaces.
