Exciting news coming soon about a new salon to re-open in 2026! In the meantime, I will be continuing to offer home visits for small jobs (nail clipping, face tidy, etc.) Or even full grooms, I can either bathe your dog for you in your home, offer a dry shampoo treatment and full groom or you can bathe them yourself and I can come and finish the job after! Also, happy to discuss; dog walking, pet visits while out for a long day and holidays. Please get in touch if anything is of interest to you and we can discuss a plan for the interim before the salon is back in town!

Hello Everyone. Just popping in to say hi and possibly to start something small and more manageable. I'm hoping my idea has enough interest to make it successful!

When grooming last year and previous to this, i noticed that a lot of my clients were begining to struggle with paying regular visits to me (typically going past the 6 weekly visits) also some were very nervous of the grooming experience and so you perhaps came backless often, to save your dog from the stress of the experience.

I would still really love to be able to see some of my old customers but also anyone knew that might benefit from this service. I would really appreciate some feedback on if you would be interested in using this service if it became available to you.

So im thinking of starting an at home visiting service where i can take care of their nails, brushing out a longer coat to prevent matting (and allow longer gaps between visits to your normal groomer) Ear cleaning and in-house facials to freshen up their face, face trims.

I could also potentially offer a clip off, when matting is an issue and you perhaps feel a little embarrassed to take them to a groomer. (Dont worry ive seen it all and its better your dog is comfy than you leave it).

Your appointments will be for a time best suited to you and your dog!

It is with great sadness that I write this post to you all but I have made a choice that will positively affect my family.

As of the 1st March 2023; Brown's Barker Shop will be no more. My focus on home educating my children and providing them with the time and attention they deserve has become my main focus and as a result I have to sacrifice my business in order to properly support them.

I will miss all of my amazing clients and their beautiful dogs, I am very sorry and sad to see this part of my life end but looking ahead to the next chapter.

Thank you all for your amazing support over the past few years and for trusting me with your family, I am so grateful for the opportunity you all gave me and I hope that I played a small part in making their grooming lives happy.

I have spoken with many of your directly regarding this decision and for those of you that are finding out via this message; I am sorry that I couldn't tell you in person. Good luck for the future and I hope you find a new groomer that suits your needs.

I will be doing my final grooms over the next couple of weeks so may be able to accommodate, if you get in touch. Spaces are limited but I will do my best to fit you in if you wish.

I LOVE Grooming Milo our Sheepadoodle, he has been with me his whole grooming life!

He stands perfectly, puts up with my singing, is best friends with resident dog Effie and has the most amazing coat 😍😍😍

Just a little check in with you all. Unfortunately the Brown household has been struck with a bad case of the flu. We have all been really suffering and still aren't feeling great now after almost 2 weeks. I'd like to apologise for not getting back to everyone in a reasonable amount of time. I do believe I have now caught up so if you have been in touch and not heard back , please drop me a message and I will come back to you as soon as possible!
