It has been widely acknowledged for centuries that the benefit of swimming exercises every muscle of the anatomy. Swimming is ideal for muscle rebuilding for all breeds of dogs especially where a weight bearing exercise would prove too strenuous.”
Our Pool is a fully filtered 4 ft deep indoor heated pool with 2 adjustable anti swim power jets which can be varied. We have it heated as warm water r

elaxes muscles by initiating an expansion of surface blood vessels and increasing the skin temperature, this can bring about a reduction in pain and muscle spasm. A decreased range of motion can often be due to pain or swelling or stiffness. Stiffness can be eased as the warmth of the water causes blood vessels to expand. Therefore swimming in lakes and rivers is not recommended as cold water causes constriction of the blood vessels near to the surface restricting the flow of blood thereby impairing muscle efficiency. Dogs Recovering from orthopedic surgery, spaying, caesarean section, spinal injuries, hip dysplasia, cruciate ligament repair, Arthritis, strains and sprains and many other ailments find swimming a gentle way of rebuilding their fitness. It also aids weight loss in obese animals. The pool is not only used for dogs that need rehabilitation. It is also used by dog owners who need to give their dogs a more thorough form of exercise. We have a overhead hoist for larger breeds or dogs that cannot easily get into the pool via the ramp. The pool has two anti swim jets complete with two air controllers, a circulation pump, inline electric heater and jet pump. A four minute swim against the jets is equal to a brisk 5 mile walk for an average dog. All dogs are vet checked prior to swimming for vaccinations and health and all swims are recorded for the safety of your pet. Dog of the day..
Jack, GSD , 9yrs old
Jack came to me with intermittent skipping /limping
When he first started, it was a bit lively and unsettled, but he soon took to it and
He’s done well has improved
Jack is fairly local to me and more recently. I want to get him and he comes with me back to my unit with no issues !
He’s a lovely nature dog it always gives me 100% in the pool!

Dog of the day
Georgie, 3yr old shihtzu
Had a left cruciate op in March
Suffering front DJD in left stifle
Suspect cruciate injury to right
Bi lat hip dysplasia
When he came to me in august he was very stiff and suffering but he soon settled in to his sessions
Georgie has done extremely well nice and settled in the pool. Really good rom and has improved immensely.
Enjoys his sessions and works well through the Jets
And that tongue of his !

Jojo and Kai
Yorkie X and Border collie both started originally for fun and now for general stiffness as getting older
Both are strong in the pool and give me 100% thru out the session
Their owner started with me for about 10yrs ago with Max

Alfie , CKC cross, 9yrs old
Referred me as to suffering from osteo, but showing signs of nerve response issue to rears
He’s done extremely well and always gives me 100% does have a very loose gait to the rear but he copes well and always seems happy when here !
