If you have taken your dog for a nice country walk before your appointment, please take them home and rinse off any mud before delivering them to us . Unfortunately our bath and plumbing cannot cope with amount of wonderful Essex clay coming in on all of the dogs .

Dear All ,
We have looked at the government guidelines for operating during the current lockdown period, this clearly states that we can open for welfare needs only and not for ascetics. With this in mind and in support of the government’s-stay at home message we will remain closed throughout January . Anyone with an appointment booked in January will be sent a new appointment starting from 1st February, we will do our best to offer the same day of the week and time. We are hoping that staying closed through this period will see us all through the current peak of the pandemic and that by February cases will hopefully once again be declining . We have posted videos on our dapper doggies page to show the correct technique to brush and comb your dog at home , if everyone can continue to do this for the next few weeks it will stop any of our dogs becoming welfare cases .The health secretary has urged everyone not to flex the rules , by delaying our grooms I feel we can justify the need to commence grooming in February for the welfare needs of the dogs . We all have to do our bit once again and stay at home to support the exhausted teams of people working in the NHS and keep ourselves from their doors .
Stay safe everyone abd hope to see everyone fit and well on the other side .

I’ve worked through all my regulars (I think ) . If I’ve missed you please call now to book , between 4-6 is the best time as quite often I can’t hear the phone with the dryers on . Everyone else who has called I am now ready for the less regular dogs xx

We have now re-opened!!
I am prioritising regular clients who have missed an appointment first, I have a list and I’m trying to contact everyone but if you haven’t heard from me please give me a text as often I have the dryers on and can’t hear the phone . We have a system set up to receive dogs with social distancing with a full wash down of the salon between clients to ensure everyone’s safety. Please do not come to the salon if anyone in your household has covid symptoms . If you need to cancel an appointment please give as much notice as possible so your appointment can be offered to someone else . Look forward to seeing you all soon !

In response to tonight’s government announcement we will now be closed until further notice . I will be posting a video to show you how to brush your dog correctly at home to prevent matting .i will also be available by phone for advise if anyone needs it. It’s very important at this time that we all do our part to help Britain fight this virus even at the expense of our livelihoods and I hope I can welcome everyone back after the crisis has past. So that we can remain open for as long as possible we will be exercising social distancing , please wait outside the salon door and we will collect and return your dogs to you at the door. Some people may wish to have a shorter trim than usual so that if in the event the government close us down your groom will last longer . Please let us know this by text message before dropping your dog off .

Just to let everyone know I am purposely leaving extra hair on the underside of the dogs feet at the moment , this will give them protection against the hot ground we will go back to trimming short once the heatwave has passed xx
