Kolahs Kookies Dog Treats & Crafts Home made Dog and Animal related Crafts - whistles/wine glass charms/bookmarks/purse charms/earrings (None of us have any nut/other allergies).

Baking for friends and family - Recipes tried and tested by Kolah - Many Tears Animal Rescue doggie, Stella - rescue Staffie and sometimes by son if hungry! However, I cannot rule out the possibility of particular food intolerances in certain dogs & cannot be held liable in this case. Ingredients include but not limited to -
Flour - Wholemeal, Oat, Rice and Gram
Baking Powder
Apples / Pears (sea

sonally from the garden), Bananas, dried Cranberries
Mint/Rosemary - from the garden in season, Cinnamon
Carrots / Sweet Potatoe / Pumkin / Butternut Squash - from the garden if growing or neighbours allotment....
Cheddar cheese / Peanut Butter / Oil (Sunflower, Olive or Coconut)
Baby Food......
Low Fat Cream Cheese
Sardines / Bacon / Turkey
Homemade Stocks
Coconut Milk or low fat Milk

Recipes are intended for Treats and Special Occasions. They are in addition to a dogs regular Balanced diet and are NOT to replace meals. Adjust food intake accordingly and ask a vets advice if unsure about feeding homemade treats. Store in AIRTIGHT CONTAINERS, FRIDGE or FREEZER. Never feed a dog mouldy food. No preservatives - I use honey/small amounts of rosemary

So for the past few months I have been cooking for Kolah. Took her off RAW food as kept getting sick after 10 years? Anyway shocked at the price of decent dog food and can honestly say cooking is cheaper. Just have to invest time in a batch cook & freeze. Whilst doing the Sunday lamb roast for us - chicken livers, 4 chicken thighs, 4 eggs, sweet potato, butternut squash, frozen veg, brussels, & some apple & strawberries. Bags & take away tubs for freezer. Did 8 days worth of c400g. (Boiled water to soak off from liver & chicken juices, along with veg juice acts as some gravy to add).

I've not baked treats or posted since my mum died. Also been neglecting my gorgeous muttley in terms of brushing. Taken her off a raw diet and has all home cooked meat, fish & veg now. Took her to local dog groomer The Dog Groomer Essex and she came home gorgeous. Nails, ears done & matts combed & cut. Beautiful elegant old lady.

It's hot in the kitchen. Been a long time but happy to be baking 'Sox' birthday 🎂 and goodies. Sardine, carrot, apple cake(s) with oat flour, Pumpkin seeds, dash of turmeric & cinnamon and some of the little ones have a cheese dinky slice topping. 45 mins on 180° and taking awhile to bake. Finished results to follow.
