Another sad loss for the Chelmsford Pet Sitters family 😞

You will have seen the video of Paddy I posted a week or so ago, waiting impatiently for me to arrive.

What I didn’t mention and you would never have guessed, is that Paddy was on palliative care due to having tumours on his lungs.

His owners, Amanda and Martin made the hardest decision on Friday last week to say goodbye to the best boy. I know they are heartbroken, as am I.

Paddy had such a huge personality for a little dog, he was so cheeky and funny, you couldn’t help but love him.

Rest well Paddy, you were the best boy 💔

I was hoping I wouldn’t be doing another one of these posts for a very long time, but unfortunately that isn’t to be.

Our darling Jules left us this week, she had been diagnosed with kidney disease last year and had been doing well until a sudden decline last week. She was 11 years old.

I had walked Jules and her brother Jack since she was a puppy. She was such a sweet girl, a typical cheeky spaniel, who at times had very selective hearing, but I wouldn’t have changed that for the world.

I was able to say goodbye to Jules on Tuesday and you could just see that it was time.

She has the most amazing family, who gave her the very best life, and I know who are missing her so much.

My love goes out to Ceri, Steve and Jack her brother.

Rest well Jules, you were the best girl ♥️

As we welcome the New Year, I just want to say thank you to every client - two-legged and four-legged - who trusted me with their beloved pets this past year. 💛

Being part of your pets’ daily routines, adventures, and quiet moments is something I never take for granted.

I also want to take a moment to remember the pets who crossed the rainbow bridge this year. They were so deeply loved, and it was an honour to care for them. They’ll always hold a special place in my heart. 🌈🐾

Thank you for your continued support, kindness, and trust. Here’s to another year of wagging tails, happy paws, and lots of love ahead. Happy New Year!

In this job you have to accept that you’ve signed up for the greatest joy in spending our days with wonderful animals, but also the greatest heartbreak when they leave us.

Usually I get chance to say goodbye, or we have advance warning age/illness, but unfortunately last week our darling Anakin, suddenly became unwell on Wednesday evening, was rushed to the vets and despite all efforts we lost him on Friday. His family is devastated, as am I.

I’ve walked Anakin and his companion dog Smudge since 2016 and they are such an important part of my walks and I love them dearly.

To think that I won’t have Anakin greeting me when I go to collect Smudge for walks next week is beyond heartbreak.

My love goes out to Anakin’s family, Katie, David, James, Jazz and particularly Smudge who is missing his companion so much.

Rest well darling boy, I loved every walk with you and every cuddle from you.
