One of the things we practice a lot actually is command and marker understanding with different ways of proofing. In this case I’m using similar words to his well known toy marker “yes” to see how well he knows it!

Saturday I joined my step dad Darren and his 2 year old Labrador Hope for a walk in the city of Wells!

I don’t usually get to see what they get up to on walks so being a fly on the wall and seeing how much confidence, enthusiasm and progress they’ve made was a really proud moment!

Darren (and my mum) have put all this work in themselves, I’ve just provided a gentle guide and some advice when needed. And it’s safe to say, it’s all paid off 😊

- Walking on a loose lead
-super engagement
-the ability to go off lead in a busy park

-down stays in the city centre
-walking past people and dogs
-settling in a busy cafe

We love adventuring through woodlands🌲, along strawberry lines 🍓and in this case, up a hill for a view of the Somerset levels! 😍

Our pack walks aim to be structured, co existing together is a main goal here. This ensures everyone is having the best time 🥰

Proofing skills in real world environments such as;
-walking to heel as a pack
-recalling around distractions
-sit/down stays
-crate thresholds
-etiquette with the other dogs
