🍑 Happy Fluffy Butt Friday 🍑
Say hello to the newest member of our bunny crew! This little sweetheart arrived as a stray and was originally named Sven by the lovely person who found her. But plot twist… Sven is actually a she! So our fluffy girl is in need of a brand‑new name to match her personality.
We’ll be doing a full post all about her soon - her story, her quirks, and of course plenty of photos of that perfect little floof. For now, here she is enjoying her favourite pastime: staring out the window like a tiny, judgemental woodland queen. She’s especially pleased that the snow is finally melted… more grass to dream about nibbling.
If you’ve got name suggestions for our newly discovered lady bun, drop them below. 👇🏾
Can’t wait to hear what you come up with - and stay tuned for her full introduction soon. Happy Fluffy Butt Friday! 🐇✨

🎨 Calling All Artists & Crafters 🧵
We’re gearing up for a fundraising auction running March 14th–30th, and we’re reaching out to our amazing community of makers to help make it a success.
Fluffy Butts has so many talented supporters, and we’d love to showcase your creativity. We’re currently looking for donated item lots - anything handmade, artistic, or crafty that could help raise funds for the animals in our care.
🌱 All donated items must be vegan‑friendly*l.
That means no animal‑derived materials such as wool, leather, silk, feathers, or beeswax. If you’re unsure whether something qualifies, feel free to ask.
Whether you paint, crochet, sew, sculpt, craft jewellery, create home décor, or make something totally unique, your contribution would mean the world to us.
If you’d like to donate or want more details, please get in touch.
Thank you for supporting Fluffy Butts and helping us continue our rescue work 💚

We have sad news to share today.
Our long‑time resident Ghost has passed away. He went to sleep and didn’t wake up.
Ghost was around ten years old, and spent many years safe, loved, and entirely himself with us. We loved him deeply.
Ghost had been with us since the very beginning. He was, without doubt, the most nervous little bunny we have ever met - a soul shaped by trauma and neglect long before he arrived. Humans were never his comfort, and we honoured that. What mattered most was that he finally had a place where he didn’t have to be afraid.
He built a peaceful life here with his confident bunny friends Evenstar, Yolandi, and Sunset, who helped him feel secure in ways we never could. Over time, Ghost began offering us tiny, precious moments of trust - the kind that mean everything when they come from a rabbit like him. Eventually, he would carefully take a treat from our hands, always cautious, always choosing connection on his own terms.
He also loved quietly watching over the foster guinea pigs (always safely separate). It was one of his sweetest quirks - observing the world from a distance, gentle and curious.
Ghost lived a good, long life with us. He was loved exactly as he was, and he will be deeply missed. We feel honoured that we got to be his guardian for 6 years 💚

We’ve been a little quiet at Fluffybutts Rescue over the festive period. Our tiny team needed a well‑earned rest, and our usual social media helper has been poorly, so things slowed down for a moment while we regrouped. We hope everyone has had a lovely festive period and we wish everyone the best for 2026,
Adoptions are now back up and running, and we’re turning our attention to two girls who truly deserve their chance: Holly and Ivy.
These gentle sisters have been with us far longer than we ever hoped. They’re soft, steady souls who would flourish in a calm, patient home - the kind of space where they can take their time, feel safe, and let their personalities unfold.
If you’ve been thinking about adopting, or know someone who might be the right match, please share their story.
Let’s make this the year Holly and Ivy finally find the forever home they’ve been waiting for. 💚

Fluffy Butts Rescue started at the beginning of the year, after discussing and planning for a long time.
We are a vegan rescue that is ran by three close friends with various experience of looking after animals. We saw that locally there was a need for a rescue and rehoming service for smaller animals, especially rabbits.
The animals we rescue often have been neglected or are no longer receiving the care that the deserve. We try to rehome and rehabilitate animals where possible, and those that have additional needs stay with us for life. Any rabbit that is rehomed is always neutered and vaccinated before going to their forever home. Although we ask for a donation for animals that are rehomed, this does not cover the costs of vaccinations, neutering and any other medical bills. This means we rely on donations to help us continue recusing animals.
As well as providing forever homes and a rehoming service we are also involved with helping with animal hoarding cases, whether this is by transporting animals to fosterers or other rescues or providing space at our rescue. Working together with other rescues is important to help make a difference to animals lives.
We currently have around 40 animals in our care including ex-battery chickens, pigs, rabbits and guinea pigs. Our rescue mainly has rabbits due to them being the most neglected pet and often being used in the fur and meat industry. We hope that over time we can expand and take in more animals.
We believe that all animals deserve a life filled with love and compassion .
