🐰✨ Volunteer Appreciation Post✨🐰
This Volunteers Week, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible humans who make Fluffy Butts Rescue possible! 💚
To our foster families who give scared and vulnerable animals a safe place to heal…
To our transport heroes who go the extra mile (literally!) to get bunnies to safety…
To our behind-the-scenes wizards keeping things running smoothly…
To those who accompany our rescues on vet trips, ensuring they get the care they need…
To our fundraisers who work tirelessly to keep little noses twitching and tummies full…
To our friends at other rescues who we work with to help get animals to safety….
YOU are the heartbeat of Fluffy Butts Rescue 💚 Every cuddle given, every mile driven, every pound raised- all makes a difference.
From the bottom of our hearts (and the fluffiest of tails), thank you! 🥰💞
Drop a comment and share your VolunteerWeek stories—let’s celebrate the kindness that keeps our rescue running! 🎉🐇💛

Rabbits aren’t just adorable- they’re intelligent, playful, and full of curiosity! To keep them happy and prevent boredom, they need daily enrichment that engages their minds and encourages natural behaviours.
Simple activities like treat puzzles, tunnels, digging boxes, stacking cups, and cardboard castles can make a huge difference! Enrichment helps prevent destructive behaviours, reduces stress, and keeps bunnies mentally and physically active.
Providing opportunities for foraging, exploring, and problem-solving is just as important as a good diet and space to roam! 💛🐇
Bueno loves playing with his staying cups!
What enrichment activities do your rabbits love?

🐰 Temporary Foster Home Needed for Sweet Larry! 🐰
Larry is the adorable bunny we took in despite having no space- he was at high risk of being put to sleep, and we couldn’t let that happen. Since then, his foster family has showered him with love, and he has flourished into the sweetest little guy. 💕
However, his fosterers are going away, and unfortunately, our usual holiday cover fosterer is also unavailable. That means we urgently need a temporary foster home for Larry! It would only be from 29th June -14th July.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone curious about fostering but unsure if it’s for them- you’ll get to experience it firsthand with full support from our team, an indoor setup, and food provided!
Larry is a gentle, affectionate bunny who loves human company, and we know he’ll make the perfect husbun when he’s ready for adoption. Could you offer him a safe, loving space while his foster family is away?
If you’re interested or have any questions, please reach out ASAP! Let’s make sure Larry continues to feel safe and loved. 🏡🐇✨

Remember little Willow?
Willow came into our care back in December after being surrendered with a dislocated elbow at only 4 months old. It was a worrying time, but her elbow was successfully replaced, and she’s been spending the last few months recovering in a loving foster home.
Last week, Willow was spayed and had a follow-up X-ray to check on her leg. We’re thrilled to report that everything looks great, and the vet is really happy with how well she’s healing.
And the best news? Willow has been reserved!Once her hormones have had time to settle, she’ll be heading off to her forever home, pending a successful bond with her new companion.
We’re so proud of this brave little girl and all she’s overcome. We can’t wait to see her hop off into her happily ever after.

🍓 Meet Dotty! 🍓
This sweet girl has just moved into her adorable strawberry house here at Fluffy Butts Rescue — and she’s not alone! Dotty came in with her best friend, Delilah.
These two lovely degus are around 2–3 years old and are already starting to show their playful personalities as they settle in.
Dotty and Delilah will be looking for a forever home together soon, so stay tuned! 💕🐾

Fluffy Butts Rescue started at the beginning of the year, after discussing and planning for a long time.
We are a vegan rescue that is ran by three close friends with various experience of looking after animals. We saw that locally there was a need for a rescue and rehoming service for smaller animals, especially rabbits.
The animals we rescue often have been neglected or are no longer receiving the care that the deserve. We try to rehome and rehabilitate animals where possible, and those that have additional needs stay with us for life. Any rabbit that is rehomed is always neutered and vaccinated before going to their forever home. Although we ask for a donation for animals that are rehomed, this does not cover the costs of vaccinations, neutering and any other medical bills. This means we rely on donations to help us continue recusing animals.
As well as providing forever homes and a rehoming service we are also involved with helping with animal hoarding cases, whether this is by transporting animals to fosterers or other rescues or providing space at our rescue. Working together with other rescues is important to help make a difference to animals lives.
We currently have around 40 animals in our care including ex-battery chickens, pigs, rabbits and guinea pigs. Our rescue mainly has rabbits due to them being the most neglected pet and often being used in the fur and meat industry. We hope that over time we can expand and take in more animals.
We believe that all animals deserve a life filled with love and compassion .
