Fentem-Jones Veterinary Rehabilitation

Fentem-Jones Veterinary Rehabilitation Fentem-Jones Veterinary Rehabilitation is a Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy service dedicated to small animals.

My name is Helen Fentem-Jones, I am a Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in Veterinary Physiotherapy, and a Category A member of ACPAT. I qualified from Kings College London in 2004 with my Masters in human Physiotherapy and then proceeded to ‘practice on people’ for 2 years before starting my training as a Veterinary Physiotherapist. I qualified with my Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy in

2009 and proceeded from there to specialise purely as a Small Animal Veterinary Physiotherapist in a referral centre where I stayed for over 7 years until recently deciding to do this for myself. Over the past few years I have had extensive experience dealing with all sort of cases from the routine through to the complex orthopaedic and neurological issues, from top athletic dogs to the elderly companion animals. I relish the challenge of a complex patient, and part of the joy of my job is meeting all the different patients, as all our four legged (and occasionally three legged) friends have such big and unique personalities. I love dealing with cats and dogs and their owners, and I gain a lot of pleasure from helping as much as I can to regain good quality of life..

A bit behind so had to try and make it up today. Did a lovely 1.5mile walk with both boys this morning before work. Then managed a little 2 mile run with Albert after work. Then took both boys for 1 mile stroll. Just need to catch up a bit more tomorrow then on track ☺️

And so it begins….

Been a while, so thought would add some faces that I have had the pleasure of treating over last few days. We have; beautiful Bella who is having therapy for conservative management of cruciate disease, we have handsome (sad but not really when the treats come out) Rupert who is having treatment post multiple elbow issues, then Monty the incredibly chill dachsi who had spinal issues and we keep an eye on to make sure he does not repeat this! Then gorgeous Layla, well where to start, spinal, elbows and knees but give this lady some peanut butter and she works a dream, then there is the lovely Harry who a few years ago got told he needed THR, not with auntie helping, last but by no means least we have Rudy the lovely giant who basically caught old age and sees auntie to keep this at bay ❤️💙 it’s been a hard couple of months but you guys keep me going.
