Heather has a diploma in Wildlife care and Rehabilitation, and has also completed the Hedgehog first aid courses run by Vale Wildlife hospital as part of registering with the the Royal Society for the Protection of Hedgehogs.

What an amazing evening at the Pride in Fenland Awards last night.

Heather was nominated for a special award for her dedication to animals. 🏆

It is with deep sadness and regret that we wish to inform you of the passing of our leader and dear friend, Heather Johnson.

Heather was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully at Addenbrooke's Hospital on Tuesday 17th June.

Heather's family would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has been involved in Heather's Hedgehog Hostel over the years, through volunteering, donations, attending our events and following this amazing journey.

Heather's life was dedicated to her two passions in life - supporting children and rescuing animals, describing this herself as "nothing else I'd rather do, and nowhere else I'd rather be".

Heather was, and will continue to be, a huge inspiration to us all. ❤️

🎉 An incredible £508.80 raised at our Bring & Buy plant sale on May bank holiday weekend!

🤗 Thank you to everybody that attended to contribute, it was brilliant to see you all there full of community spirit!

A massive thanks to all our wonderful volunteers and trustees for hosting such a successful event for the hostel.
