Animals cant tell us they are in pain and thats where the wealth of human knowledge and feedback is beneficial in detecting tissue tightness, trigger points and then applying effective treatments. Although the evidence base in animals for physiotherapy is growing the basic structure of human and animal tissue is the same and therefore we can transfer treatments such as electrotherapies, soft tissue release and manual therapy. Cameron has been off form for the last month but came right since your treatment and came 3rd in the 1.15 and qualified for SCOPE this weekend."

A horses kick can deliver 10,000N worth of force. With 50% of those being reported to meet the head neck or face (in children) education is key to reduce any risk factors. Unsure if physio can help for these type of injuries? If pain is musculoskeletal in nature (ie from joint stiffness, tight muscles, nerve irritation, etc) then it is likely physio can help.

Treatments that may benefit: ultrasound to aid tissue recovery, muscle stim to increase muscle bulk if there has been nerve damage, mobilisations of muscles and joints if stiff or sore, exercises to strengthen and stabilise.

Book in to see Nicole Jones at the Newburyclinic.co.uk, Newbury or email [email protected] for more information.

Unsure which girth to use?

New research shows that Girth F was associated with 6-11% greater forelimb protraction, 10-20% greater hindlimb protraction, 4% greater carpal flexion, and 3% greater tarsal flexion than Girth S. Girth F reduced peak pressures under the girth, and improved limb protraction and carpal/ tarsal flexion, which may reflect improved posture and comfort.

Released 7 days ago- looking forward to seeing the full article and shape or the girth/place to buy.
