Gareth has had a lovely ride out today through the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds to collect a stunning Dalmatian girl and safely transport her on to the next part of her journey north 🐾

We absolutely love seeing different parts of the UK whilst travelling up and down the country with your pets 🚐🐾

On Friday we had the honour of transporting beautiful Ellie the Labrador on her final journey to Mill Cottage Pet Crematorium, before returning her ashes safely back home with her family on Saturday 🕊️🐾

At the wonderful age of 15, Ellie had a life filled with love, loyalty, adventures and a family who absolutely adored every white hair and wag of her tail.

Fifteen years is never long enough when a dog has left paw prints this deeply on your heart.

The silence they leave behind is deafening, but so is the love they leave wrapped around the memories they gave us ❤️

Thank you to Ellie’s family for trusting us with such an important and emotional journey.
We are sending so much love, strength and healing to you all during this heartbreaking time.

Today we remember the beautiful Sam the Dog De Bordeaux 🕊️🤍

A truly giant boy weighing an incredible 65.9kg, and for this big lad the large crate had to come out for his final journey. Sadly Sam passed very suddenly at home, making this an especially heartbreaking call for his family.

We collected Sam at 8am and by 1pm he was safely back home with his family where he belongs. We know just how important it is for families to have their beloved companions returned home quickly, gently and with dignity during such a painful time.

We would like to say a huge thank you to All Pets at Peace for taking such wonderful care of Sam throughout every step of his final journey, and to Sam’s family for trusting us to transport your beautiful boy with the love, respect and compassion he deserved.

🚐🐾 Sorry we’ve been a little quiet on here everyone… behind the scenes it has been one of those full throttle weeks where the phone barely stops ringing and the miles just keep adding up.

From nationwide courier jobs to local pet taxis, salon transport, urgent animal ambulance runs and sadly helping two families with pet funeral services, it’s been an emotional and incredibly busy week for us here at The Big Paws Little Paws Co Pet Transport Services. 🌙

Every journey we do carries a story with it. Some are exciting new beginnings, some are routine and reassuring, and some are the hardest journeys a family will ever have to make. No matter the reason for transport, every animal in our care is treated as if they were one of our own. 🫶🏻

We just wanted to say thank you for your patience while messages and updates have been a little slow. We are catching up behind the scenes and service updates, photos and tributes will be shared over the coming days.

To everyone who has trusted us with your beloved companions this week… thank you. 🐾

We’re Back on the Road 🚑🐾

After a much needed reset, we are now fully back to work and all services have resumed as normal. The wheels are turning again and we’re ready to support our community whenever you need us.

Our Emergency Animal Ambulance is back on call 24/7,
our Pet Courier Service is back in action for planned journeys,
our Local Pet Taxi Services are available for booking,
and we remain on hand with our Pet Funeral Services, delivered with the care, dignity and compassion every family deserves.

A small but important note for our clients:
Due to the ongoing uncertainty around fuel costs, our prices may fluctuate from time to time. This allows us to maintain a fair, transparent and sustainable structure while continuing to provide the safe, reliable service you trust.

🚑 Today Gareth drove over to Abbey House with a brave little French bulldog who’s preparing for surgery next week.

He’s having soft palate surgery which basically helps reduce that extra flap in the throat and open the nostrils, a common fix for our shorter nosed pals with breathing challenges! 💨

Sending positive vibes for a smooth surgery—he’ll be breathing easy in no time! 🐾

🚨 Early Morning Emergency Callout 🚨

At 5am this morning, Gareth received a very distressed phone call from a concerned guardian whose beloved Dogue de Bordeaux had been experiencing seizures for a considerable amount of time. After contacting their out of hours hospital, Swift recommended our emergency animal ambulance service to help get him safely transported for urgent care.

Moments like this are never easy. The fear, the uncertainty, the racing thoughts while your dog is unwell can feel overwhelming. Our role in those moments is simple but vital: to arrive calmly, move safely, and support both the pet and their guardian every step of the way.

He is now under close seizure watch and in the very best hands while the veterinary team work to determine what caused this episode and whether any further treatment will be needed going forward.
We are keeping everything crossed for him and sending strength to his family during what has been a very frightening morning. 🐾
