Kath’s Day 4th November 11am
The funeral of my beautiful Kath will be held on Tuesday 4th November 2025 at 11am. It will take place at the very fitting Border Crematorium in Melrose Scotland TD6 9HA.
After the service family, friends and anyone who knew Kath will be welcome to join us at Kelso Racecourse in the Tweedie suite.
Kelso Races was a special place which Kath loved to attend and so the venue has been specially selected.
At the entrance to the service there will be two collection boxes in aid of Border Terrier Welfare, a charity very close to Kath’s heart, so we would kindly ask for those who want to, if they could bring some loose change for this wonderful charity which cares and rehomes Border Terriers nationally. Kath would be so pleased.
Kath loved flowers so for those who want to bring them along ,please hand them to the staff prior to the service.
I will kindly require numbers for the attendance at Kelso Racecourse for the catering.

Border Terriers and other dogs will be welcome in the car park of the crematorium whilst the cortège is making its way to the entrance.
DOG OWNERS PLEASE NOTE
Kath would love to see as many dogs as possible, but we have to put in a few simple rules. There will be a hunt horse present along with Kath’s dogs, and a Piper, so I would kindly ask that only well behaved dogs and no reactive dogs are present. Please be respectful of other dogs and owners and their space to prevent any incidents . It is imperative for the horse, rider and everyone’s safety.
All dogs must be on leads and returned to their respective vehicles prior to the start of the service ; only Kath’s dogs will be present during the service and at the Tweedie suite at the racecourse.
I respectfully appreciate everyone’s help and understanding in these arrangements.
