Saturday walks with this gorgeous boy and a first walk with him, he was a perfect walking buddy, we got slightly lost in the engine loning woods but he got us back home, it’s the first time I’ve walked down there and it’s a lovely walk, shame we didn’t have longer I would’ve liked to gone further 💙🐾🐾🐾

Happy Friday, I’ve had a lovely day with these beauties, I’d like to thank all those who allowed me to move walks to earlier/later or even made alternative arrangements so I could spend some time with a special boy who’s going through a sad time at the moment, and also a big thank you to Stephen Armstrong for helping out with a lunchtime walk - as my unpaid dog walker employee 🐾🤣 so a chippy tea as a treat tonight thanks to The Fryery Scotland Road 🩷💙🐾🐾🐾

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR DOG OWNERS IN CARLISLE ⚠️

We have recently been made aware of confirmed cases of canine parvovirus (parvo) around the cumbria area.

Parvovirus is a highly contagious and potentially life-threatening disease, particularly in puppies and unvaccinated dogs. Symptoms can include severe vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy, dehydration, and loss of appetite.

To help protect our local dog population, we are strongly encouraging:

🐾 Puppies under 12 months of age should receive an additional DHP vaccination, even if they have already completed their primary course.

🐾 Dogs with lapsed vaccinations to take advantage of our Vaccine Amnesty and book an appointment to get their protection back up to date.

Vaccination remains the most effective way to protect your dog against parvovirus and reduce the risk of further spread within our community.

If you are unsure of your dog's vaccination status or would like to discuss the most appropriate protection for your pet, please contact the practice and our team will be happy to help.

Well I can’t believe it but I managed to dodge the heavy showers today, I started off my first walk this morning in Lowry Hill then nipped to Gretna to have a wander with the beautiful collie and then over to swifts with the cheeky cockerpoo’s and finally back to Lowry Hill to finish off my walks, Sam and Woody (and Stephen) joined me in Kingmoor Woods for my last walk with the gorgeous black lab who loves his free time having a break from guiding his blind owner, he doesn’t mix with other dogs at play normally so it was a bit of test walk with my boys but I’m delighted they all got on so well, chased each other, sniffed together and walked together 🩷💙🐾🐾🐾

At playtime in the Unleashed Carlisle paddock I did pick up a lot of extra poos, please can all who use it pick up and let’s keep it clean for everyone to enjoy it’s such a great space it’s a shame to spoil it (rant over) 🐾🐾🐾
