Doggies n Moggies Retreat is a luxury cattery, small pet boarding & doggy daycare centre situated in the beautiful Eden countryside between Carlisle and Penrith. We have comfy rooms and lots of open space to walk dogs and cosy cat rooms to make your pets feel at home. During their stay your doggies n moggies will be kept company by Rachael, the owner of the retreat, Rachael was previously a registered veterinary nurse with over a decade of experience working with animals.

❗️IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ❗️

As some of you already know, Doggies n Moggies Retreat will be permanently closing at the end of September 2026.
(Very sorry to anyone who I haven’t managed to get around to telling yet!).

It has been a pleasure to look after all your lovely pets over the years but after a decade of 7 day working weeks, it’s time for a rest! 😵‍💫😴😂

Any bookings already made between now and the end of September are unaffected, and we are still able to take bookings until then but please be aware availability is now very limited.
